So last night, a buddy of mine and I were doing the nightfall. We were waiting for silly Dinklebot to open the door for us and sniping some Wizards from afar. When low and behold I see a rare unicorn; a legendary engram pops out from an acolyte that I shot from long distance. Since its the nightfall... I of course don't risk wiping us to go grab the engram (It was really far into the room... it was sure death). I figure "oh, it'll get mailed to me if we wipe or something". Then the next round of 4 wizards comes and they all rushed us faster than either of us expected. We tried to run but were quickly mowed down. To orbit we go. But I didn't see anything in the tower... no mail. We went to the tower just in case... nothing. We eventually completed the nightfall but still... no engram in the mail. So if that truly is the working as intended behavior... I beg bungie to reconsider that behavior. Legendary engrams have been so rare out in the world, especially since the huge engram patch. I think that was the second legendary engram I had seen drop since that patch.
