QUESTIONS STRICTLY FOR USER: eating lunch Why do you find it necessary to hound the community manager with development questions? Why can't you have an open (and mature) approach to these concerns and engage in the dialogue offered by other community members? Why does it seem like you're having so much apprehension over a video game?

 • Here's the thing, Deej doesn't appear often enough in threads where open and mature discussion can be had, and even when he does it's just a quick quip and then we never hear from him again. Any criticism, questions, or attempts at discussion just end up with the players yelling at a wall.

 • He's our only "contact" Although, I don't know if that means much. If we have questions on here though, guess we have to ask the guy that has a voice to bungievision. Probably just a guy with no real power to do anything though, so we're just wasting time.

 • It's DeeJs job to answer these questions and talk to the public

 • I am not "hounding" the community manager. Even if I was, it is part of the community manager's job to do what he can to make customers who are hounding him satisfied with their product. I am having an open approach and engaging in dialogue with other community members right now. Did you not see where I said I would even add other people's questions to my original post? I only asked questions. Why do you see apprehension in mere questions? You must think there is a reason to be apprehensive about Destiny if you see that implied in mere questions.

 • I don't know why I'm about to reply to what is increasingly seeming like an absolute troll post (albeit not the most aggressive I've ever witnessed) , but I suppose my overall hope here is to educate you on some etiquette. Your title is not open and friendly. It is demanding and rude. No, the community manager's job is not customer satisfaction, at least not in the terms of dealing with people who are upset about design choices regarding the game's locations and story. His job is simply to manage the community and be a liaison between the inside of Bungie and us. DeeJ actually does that incredibly well. That being said, he would probably be happy to help answer these questions, should he himself receive answers from within Bungie to pass along to us, if your post was more open and friendly. Encouraging other community members to add to this already exhaustive list of items is not engaging. Engaging would be asking other members these questions and encouraging some fun speculation. I've been a fan of Bungie for a long time and I can assure you all these questions will be answered in time, but likely through future DLC or sequels. Apprehension... Have you not looked through the forums? They're full of anger and spite and threats. Thankfully, I know this is only a sampling of the overall number of gamers who are playing Destiny, and enjoying it. Most of these posts are duplicates of another post somewhere already on the forums. Just like yours. Only yours embodies several complaints all in one, so good for you for having that foresight to merge 20+ topics into one. Hopefully this has been a fun and educating process. Nobody here wants you to hate Destiny. Nobody here wants anyone to be dissatisfied with Bungie. So try not to be one of "those guys" and use your obvious intelligence on good deeds.

 • i'll quote you on 3 things real quick that make your post lose an validity i thought it might have, no offense to you i just see you bashing a guy who's done nothing wrong. First quote " Your title is not open and friendly. It is demanding and rude." His title clearly says "Deej strictly questions about destiny" while this isn't the broadest of subjects it is the only subject that should only be discussed with a community manager when the community wants information about the game. He wasn't rude in his questions he was direct and professional. At current time i see 20 questions posted with no essay on how bad the game is or any other BS people are complaining about, only the viable questions that could be answered. Now i will defend deej by saying he can't always give viable answers to these questions because bungie only allows him to give away some much information, they ultimately control his responses to these questions. second quote "....if your post was more open and friendly." his post doesn't need to be more open when it's right on topic with the subject. The op used a bit of technical writing by posting only relevant information in his post. Were he/she to post more it would be a waste of the intended audiences time while he could of been more efficient, such as we have now. Efficiency is key to solving problems quickly. Third quote " Encouraging other community members to add to this already exhaustive list of items is not engaging." Actually here, you sound like a complete idiot i can't believe you thought typing this was a logical statement. The literal definition of engaging is thus "tending to draw favorable attention or interest" anyone could Google the word and find it in an online dictionary, why couldn't you? So asking players to engage through commenting is perfectly logical and the op was completely correct is using the word so. By other players posting there questions they would like answered, Which is what gaming company's hire community managers to do, people are engaging with the op. Then you say the forums are full of anger and spite/threats, but there are many other topics without such intent on the forums. My personal favorite being the comedy going around in the last week. I've been able to laugh hard enough to bring tears from some posts and im thankful to those people for the enjoyment they have blessed me with. The last thing you write is completely rude and malevolent. You purely troll and flame the poor op for only trying to find answers to questions we all have. Maybe you should "use your obvious intelligence on good deeds" you -blam!-ing troll.

 • Thanks for the support, because I really am trying to not be rude to DeeJ since it's just his job to get a feeling for the overall opinion of the forums here, and since we all including myself have our opinions about Destiny. I think somewhere else I have also said that if some of my OP is rude or something that I would change it if someone pointed out a better way to present a particular question. I really think being rude and/or insulting to DeeJ is pointless if the goal is truly only to ask for whatever answers he can give us. Obviously he can't answer everything and probably not most of our questions, but who knows, there might be a couple that he can answer that he didn't know we're wondering about.

 • A lot of people are mad at him for not answering things when he literally is not allowed to. its a company/business decision and too many people here just want to be the class clown and troll others. you have my support bud good luck!
