And what is the real feedback? The nerf threads? The people bitching about fixes to the Raid? This thread right here contains the most quality feedback I've read on the forum- with one exception. Otherwise, this sub-forum is filled with crap to sift through. This is the real discussion that should be taking place. Why so much hype, yet so little content? Regurgitating content does not equal depth. There is no depth in Destiny- not in any one of its multiple facets.

Not once did I claim either of those were real feedback. If this post was void of all complaints about how the game didn't meet their every expectation, I might've considered it to be meaningful feedback.

The entire point to this post is that they didn't meet the expectations they themselves set. These are not absurd expectations to have when they were given to you.

It's worth about 5 days of entertainment with my friends. That's probably wrong though since random people whom I don't give a f**k about didn't enjoy it, right?

You obviously feel like you have the right to speak your opinion, but when others speak theirs, you don't like it and "feel sorry deej has to wade through this human waste"- that their opinion is something that shouldn't even exist- something that only burdens other people. I feel the same way as you, in that this game has given me a good time. Nothing was promised. I fail to understand why people believe that everything a developer says will be set in stone years down the line and think videos that explicitly say "gameplay shown is subject to change" are unwavering previews of the game to come.

When I say it's dishonest, the actual gameplay isn't even close in quality and such to any preview stuff that I have seen. So over and over, they're advertising some amazing things. I go into the game with those amazing things and traits in mind, and find they are not there. I was not, am not, expecting exactly what they said and showed. But- I am expecting something that should be just as good. And is it? Some other things that this reminds me of/similar to- chip bags that fill less than half a bag. Bras that promise much more than you actually get (or for girls, guys who lie about their down lows), etc. False advertising and failing to deliver are pretty big things.

Society hasn't exactly condemned this type of behavior. How often do you see people suing fast food companies for not providing food that looks exactly the way it does in the picture? How often do people try to sue Blizzard because their cinematic cutscenes for WoW didn't represent the gameplay? I fail to see why this is suddenly intolerable to people. The only theory I have is that most people who bought this game expecting it to cure cancer haven't existed long enough to know how the world works.

This isn't something that is just starting to be intolerable. People have complained about this type of occurrence in the gaming industry for years. The only problem is the voice of the people is not as loud as the voice of the company.

The fact that millions of people still put up with this kind of behavior by still purchasing their products doesn't do much to convince me otherwise.

I'm actually happy people aren't suing more than what's already happening. It's pathetic. Do those companies have a policy that every burger or whatever will look exactly like the picture, or your money back? Never heard it. Did blizzard say "gameplay will look like this" with one if the videos? Not as far as I know. Buddy, what society thinks isn't automatically right. Society can be often wrong. I'm not sure what it is this instance.but how long have you been a bungie fan? This isn't how the bungie I know does things. Yah, companies change, but bungie is doing the exact opposite of what it did in the past. I don't think companies change that much that quickly.

The same questions can be asked about whether everything said about Destiny will come to fruition in the game. Regarding my history with Bungie: I played halo 3 on and off and part of ODST because my friend let me borrow his copy.

I honestly hope it will. When that hope becomes reality, I will come back and let you know I was wrong/etc (not thinking it will never happen) if you want me to. So you've seen them around for a while. The bungie that I and many others love care about their player base. What's been happening lately? Not like them at all.

If it's worth about 5 days with your friends then you are missing the point. It sounds to me like you jumped in the bandwagon to buy this game the week before it came out. When most of us were going nuts waiting for the greatest game Bungie has ever created, which never came. This is the issue.

I preordered it to play the beta because I was bored as hell over summer. It was a cute assumption though.
