**UPDATE**"THEORY" 6th and 7th chest discussion.

We are attempting to figure out how to make the 6th and 7th chest spawn so far we have tried clearing the entrance without a pretorian entering a sync plate but nothing happened we will be retrying on hard mode tonight to confirm. (5th chest confirmed can get in normal or hard mode by preventing the templar from teleporting) 7th chest has speculation on how to get it whether it is clear the gorgon maze without being seen on hard mode or speed runs etc. We will be attempting all of these tonight on hard mode to test these theories. Any ideas and theories from players would be helpful we want to find these and show everyone else how to as well.   • Someone was suggesting that the Raid LMG "Corrective Measure" must be equiped to avoid the effects of the Gorgon's gaze. Also, the raid gear LOOKS like vex and is made from the pieces of vex... what about full raid gear making you invisible to gorgons? Like a disguise?

    • Something that I have not confirmed but might be the cause. So the 5th chest should spawn if the Templar does not teleport. We prevented him from teleporting but the chest was not there. I know I got there in the time limit. I don't know if it is confirmed now if Vex being sacrificed on the conflux part or opening the spirit bloom chest affects the chest. The thing I believe might cause it to not spawn was someone took the "correct" route out from Templar to the Gorgons. Anyone know if this is true? This might prove the alt route to Templar.

      • Just as a chest shows up when the Templar does not teleport, is it possible for one to show up if Atheon is defeated without teleporting anyone? According to this video, the Defender's suppressor grenade prevented Atheon from teleporting team members.

        • So there is a platform above the templer when its infront of the door. I was thinking if u could manage to get above the templar and kill it by shooting downwards at it during the coflux part. mabye that could lead to somthing?

              Maybe something to do with the platforms? The trailer for the game showed all 6 members jumping together. What if all 6 jump on each one in order ? Maybe it opens that vex gate ?

            • Is it possible to have the Gorgons chase you and cause them to run into each other? Not sure if this happens normally (I've only been in the raid a few times), but kind of like "crossing the steams" from Ghostbusters? Maybe things go haywire?

                • What if everyone has to use the relic shield at least once. Thats why we all get randomly teleported. Kabar said bind yourself to me. If you drop the shield then u die, but if atheon takes if from you then you dont die. Kabar made the relic so we could defeat atheon, so maybe all members need to use Kabar/ Relic to gain its power. Maybe that provides a way out of the VOG.

                  I'm just thinking, why would the end game of the raid, and the game for that matter, be us dying inside the Vault of Glass just like those before us? There has to be a way for us to escape and get back to our normal lives outside the vault. That portal after the jumping maze? Maybe it shoots us back to Venus where we started. The only thing weird we noticed this week was that we left 1 person in the vault alone after killing atheon. As soon as the last person left, Time's Vengence started, just like it did when you come out of the portals. I had no idea what to do though, there was no enemy. Isn't it a buff? Is there something to shoot?

                    • soooo i have read ALOT of this post... and i keep seeing things about the plates... and portals etc... but im not seeing much to comment on the first portal.... and by that i mean when you first start the VOG where the spire is there is that "broken" gate... i know it a public area, and im pretty sure someone mentioned not being able to make it back outside... but i was curious if anyone has done any investigating?

                      • I see a lot of theories that ending atheon does not "end" the vault. I think this is false, because raid completion grimoire and achievements are received when you kill atheon.

                      • Well on the Grogon grimoire card is states, "Until a countermeasure can be found, Guardians must avoid their gaze at all costs - or reply to any detection with immediate, overwhelming force." So my thoughts are there is a countermeasure (possibly a relic-shield) before or in the labyrinth. And that could be linked to one of the chests.

                            • Well in the lore kabr was left alone at the end maybe that is the key since people are reporting that when the team leaves the last person gets buffed as if he needed to fight something.

                            • I just had an idea that pertains to the portal located in the jumping challenge. Bungie wanted the challenges to be done as a team, so what if there are 3 different ways to reach that portal. 1way per class. And everyone meets at the portal after going each different way that pertains to there class. Or everyone takes the same way but as a team you would make sure each platform was touched. Anyone want to add to this theory, that portal has to be something and the jump challenge has to have something to do with it

                              • I haven't seen anyone mention that there is a total of 7 conflux that spawn in VoG (six before Templar and one before Atheon). I've seen many theories surrounding the number 7, but nothing about 7 conflux. I can't tell you if it is significant or not. Just thought it was worth mentioning.

                              • Just want to point something out in the gorgons maze. Everytime someone has been immune to the gaze in my group they had the corrective measure equipped. Coincedence or glitch? Not sure - has anyone tried this with all 6 have corrective measures equipped?
