The truth about destiny
Activision took bungies game and did what they do. They will make 3 games for $60 a piece, each with 2-3 dlc packs for $20, and the dlc will be reused and resold for the next games. They've done it with CoD for 10 years and people keep buying, so there doing what makes them the most money.

So, basically this whole fiasco with Destiny's story is Activision's fault? I say we sue them for everything they own, then find Bungie a publisher that actually cares.
-
They had a publisher that cared. They sacrificed it for what they perceived to be creative freedom at the expense of ethical practice and, if they can't pull off a miracle, their professional reputation and credibility.
-
That is the best description by far
-
Thing is, if they had just held back certain footage and refrained from hyping elements of the game that didn't make the cut, Destiny would be a solid first attempt at creating a hybrid genre, and people would be looking forward to seeing where they take it. Make no mistake, Destiny is a good game, with a lot of potential, and I'll keep playing it. However, Bungie overpromised to the point where I'd say they went full Molyneux on this one.
-
Sadly, im sure that bungie agreed to the deal. I would of loved to see the full realized destiny we were promised, but I don't think we will. Not in the form they wanted origionaly.( due to being pushed to a launch date with unfinished content) theres a reason that half the game is unfinished. They will add more and bring the content they showed us, but only at a buy per dlc, or buy a new game+dlc. And in the end there will be a cash shop for items that should be in the game, like skins and recycled maps like they did with CoD. Activision will do to bungie what they did to Treyarch and Infinity Ward. Use them until there a hollow shell then move on to who can make them the most money.

Cod has a story? FML........
-
Sad thing is that the majority of CoD players never touched campaign. So activision told bungie thay they didnt need a story, no one ever played cod storys.
-
Most of the campaigns sucked. Ghost was good tho, for the most part.
-
I couldnt get into ghost story. I play through the whole thing tho. In all honesty Wolrd at War was my favorite story and multiplayer. Story was coop and engaging and the multiplayer was fun as well. Modern warefare 2 was also a blast. One man army with an assault rifle/underbarrel tube. 6 man spawn kills to end search ans destroy before it started, then everyone watching the replay. Good times.

Cold, hard truth right there.
