Great post, and very much indicates what the gaming community are feeling with this game right now.
For me (and i've said this on a few posts) the major problem with this game is the completely luck-based light leveling system. I have been stuck on level 29 for some time now, with only 1 pair of raid boots after 6 successful VoG completions.
Here's what sucks the most, I keep getting the same stuff that is already in my inventory. Is the game not smart enough to know that I already have 2 Aspect of Glass ships in my inventory, and 2 Vision of Confluence?? Maybeit is and thinks that because I have more than 1 then I like them, so i get given more!!
I'm going to give the VoG one more chance (well 2 more with normal and hard playthroughs) next week, and if I don't get anything then i'm on to Shadow of Mordor.
Bungie's 10 year plan for this game will sadly take them to the developers graveyard, as their reliance on patching to make things harder (adding more snipers in the Templar/Oracle fight being 1 such example) thinking that it will keep gamers playing until they complete it is wrong.
Here's a refreshing idea Bungie - Why not reward people properly for completing difficult missions/raids/strikes instead of us relying on luck based rewards. Then get new kit out there and some new content - perhaps that will keep gamers playing this game.
As I said above, i'm 1 week away from canning this game
