Realistic and Appealing Exotic Weapon Ideas: [ 36 ] and counting!!! ~This is for you Bungie! <3

I especially liked the "Black Hole" theme of my first Rocket Launcher idea, I hope you guys enjoy them too! (Hopefully in-game someday :D) Feel free to share your ideas! I will continuously update this with more of my ideas and edit in ideas from you guys I think are both realistic and amazing (I'll credit you of course). However, I stress that all my ideas are realistic and aren't over-powered in any way if you completely analyze its pros and cons in all its practical situations. Also, realistically, exotics have 2 perks (sometimes an initial one under damage type, making 3 [Icebreaker, Invective, Bad JuJu]) and the 1st one is always a standard perk followed by a 2nd "bizarre" one. But don't let that stop you from sharing your idea of an auto rifle that fires rockets. Just understand that that will never happen, lol. I encourage you to share any idea; I encourage you even more to share a realistic idea, as it may open an eye for Bungie and boom: a new exotic! [u]Unlikely Statistics[/u]- Exotic Machine Gun (Kinetic) I thought it was impossible, yet it still happened Crowd Control- Kills with this weapon grant bonus damage for a short time [b]My New Theorem[/b]- This weapon fires in bursts of 3 and only has 3 bullets. Each bullet holds 16 shots and 15 of those shots do arc, solar, or void (changes each burst) the last shot deals significant bonus damage [u]Ahamkara's Venom[/u]- Exotic Rocket Launcher (Solar) I am aging, oh bearer mine, yet I shall still see to their incineration Tripod [b]Visions[/b]- Upon rocket detonation, a cloud of poison gas will remain for a short time. Rockets track enemies

  • Extra special weapon - exotic heavy weapon a special weapon for any occasion perks; extra special weapon depending on how long you hold the trigger and your zoom it acts differently when at no zoom and slight pull is shotgun - costs 5 power when at no zoom holding fire it is it a fusion rifle- costs 5 power when at slight zoom and hold it is a machine gun- one per bullet when at slight zoom and slight pull it is rocket launcher- 20 power at full zoom it is a sniper rifle it has 100 power you get 40 from each heavy weapon ammo you don't need to reload ammo goes directly to the magazine

    I love fan theories and designs, they make everything seem livelier and more productive. So, with that in mind, here's a few on my ideas. I tried to, as you said, keep them realistic if possible... okay, maybe not the first one! [b]Humble Deliverance - Exotic Rocket Launcher (Arc Damage)[/b] [i]"All it wants to do is give you a gift... the contents are irrelevant."[/i] [u]Perks:[/u] 1. Tracking - Shells fired from this weapon track their targets. 2. A Lovely Gift - Activates a random effect on impact. (AoE Vortex, DoT, Health Restore (for user), Blinding, Slowing, Shield Disruption (prevents shield regen), Enemy Heal (rarely)) [b]Honest Lies - Exotic Hand Cannon (Kinetic Damage)[/b] [i]"Even a liar can be honest... they merely focus the mind on what they want others to believe."[/i] [u]Perks:[/u] 1. Final Round - The last round in a magazine deals additional damage. 2. The Truth, Hidden/Revealed - Scrambles enemy health meter upon frontal hit. Affected targets take additional damage from behind." [i]*The concept of this is simple: the enemy believes they are close to death and try to run... then they die. More PvP oriented.[/i] [b]The Interloper - Exotic Shotgun (Void Damage)[/b] [i]"Nothin's better than breaking up a fight between two fellas... and killin' em both. ~ Dredgen Yor." This weapon was created in an attempt to understand them."[/i] [u]Perks:[/u] 1. Hip Fire - This weapon has bonus accuracy while firing from the hip. 2. Axion Blast - This weapon fires volatile arc projectiles that explode in a small radius upon impact. [i]*Based on the attack of a Hive Wizard[/i] [b]Shifty Fellow - Exotic Scout Rifle (Kinetic Damage)[/b] [i]"Many among the Cryptarchs claim to have deciphered texts relating to a weapon that is as unpredictable as it is deadly. You believe this is that weapon, and your enemies can attest to its confusing nature."[/i] [u]Perks:[/u] 0. This weapon fires in full auto (innate ability). 1. Zen Moment - Causing damage with this weapon increases its stability. 2. Unpredictable By Design - When aimed in and fired fully auto, the fire rate fluctuates regularly, with the critical damage modifier matching it. [b]Simple Answers - Exotic Auto Rifle (Kinetic Damage)[/b] [i]"Why over-complicate everything when you can just rip things to shreds? Those fancy guns of yours won't help when this bad boy starts blastin', that's for sure."[/i] [u]Perks:[/u] 1. Persistence - This weapon grows more accurate the longer it is fired. 2. No Rest, No Relent - This weapon has no reserve ammo. All ammo is applied directly to the magazine. [i]*This is intended to be a high fire rate, low damage, bullet spewing beast. No fancy features here. [/i] [b]Starlight/Starfire - Exotic Machine Gun (Solar Damage)[/b] [i]"In his wake the only things that remained were the charred corpses of his enemies, their eyes melted, as though having all bore witness to the glorious starlight, before being consumed in its fires." [/i] [u]Perks:[/u] 1. Feeding Frenzy - Kills with this weapon increase reload speed for a short time. 2. The Stars Remain... and Consume - Enemies struck by this weapon are marked by its power. When a marked enemy is killed it will violently explode. The damage and range of this explosion increases for each marked enemy within the radius (caps at 5). [i]*This one is probably less believable, but I still think it'd be awesome to bear witness to, pun intended. [/i] [b]Essence of Sovereignty - Exotic Fusion Rifle (Void Damage)[/b] [i]"You exist because we allow it..." [/i] [u]Perks:[/u] 1. Hip Fire - This weapon gains bonus accuracy while firing from the hip. 2. You Will End Because We Demand It - This weapon's charge fires as a single, sustained beam of energy. Dramatically increases range and stability. [i]*Three guesses what this is a reference of... I'll give you a hint: it's really obvious![/i] [b]The Marksman - Exotic Pulse Rifle (Kinetic Damage)[/b] [i]"Oi! Stop firing like a lunatic with a hole in his chest! If you'd aim for the head we'd be done already!"[/i] [u]Perks:[/u] 1. Secret Round - Missing a shot from this weapon's burst will fire a fourth shot. 2. Marksman's Reward - Precision damage modifier increases for subsequent headshots within the same burst. Fire rate increases for each burst that lands 3 precise hits (stacks up to 3). Stacks reset upon failure to land a successful burst, or after a set duration. [b]The Conductor - Exotic Sniper Rifle (Arc Damage)[/b] [i]"An unstable arc matrix running through this weapon's systems cause certain actions to trigger a violent discharge of energy through the weapon's rounds. Nobody in production complained."[/i] [u]Perks:[/u] 1. Outlaw - Precision kills with this weapon dramatically increase reload speed. 2. Volatile Violence - Precision kills with this weapon produce arc bolts, which fire off the victim into nearby targets (max 3). [i]*Kinda like Arcbolt Grenade, except instead of chaining, it all occurs off the initial victim. [/i] [b]Roar of the Ahamkara - Exotic Shotgun (Solar Damage)[/b] [i]"Lend me your voice, oh bearer mine. Let me help you burn all there is..."[/i] [u]Perks:[/u] 1. Return to Sender - Kills with this weapon grant bonus ammo, directly to the magazine 2. Dragon's Roar - This weapon fires solar bolts that travel slower than standard rounds, but ignite enemies they hit. Widens bullet spread. [i]*This is somewhat akin to the Fallen shrapnel launcher thing... and is incidentally near-identical to the "Lord of Wolves" shotgun in the HoW DLC.[/i] Feedback is highly appreciated and recommended. I like to feel smart :3

Every Crucible kill makes a small white light and another notch appears on one of the barrels, counting kills in tally marks. Has two bullets, sucky range and reload speed, but huge impact. Will probably be considered the new NLB.[/spoiler] 0. [b]Primary Care[/b] This gun is put in your primary slot. 1. [b]Divine Intervention[/b] Shells fired from enemies at close range have a small chance of doing no damage. [b]Jester Dynasty[/b] Scout Rifle [i]Adding Insult To Injury.[/i] [spoiler]A brightly colored, scout rifle with multiple Necrochasm-esque ridges on it. There's a Chinese dragon head on the barrel. Long range, low impact and high RoF. Small magazine, however.[/spoiler] 1. [b]Injury[/b] One random bullet does extra damage. 2. [b]Insult[/b] Enemies killed with this gun have a longer respawn time. [b]Symphony[/b] Harmony now stacks 7 times. [b]Ragnarök[/b] Hand Cannon (Solar) [i]The Hunger of Fire and Strength of Wolves[/i] [spoiler]A black, almost charred looking hand cannon with a fairly long barrel. Red stripes run along the sides, occasionally glowing. Slow fire rate, relatively long clip and high impact. Firing makes a peculiar "pew pew" sound.[/spoiler] 1. [b]The Fire[/b] Enemies killed by this gun are engulfed in flames. 2. [b]The Last War[/b] If every bullet in the magazine hits a target, reload speed is greatly increased.

(2): Extermination protocol: Tracked targets not killed with this weapon will produce a second rocket instantly from the weapon that auto tracks the original target. (Does not interfere with normal firing.) [b]Angels and angles[/b] Solar sniper rifle [i]Religion and science collide. You are one lucky fellow.[/i] Perks: (1): Mulligen: Missed rounds have a chance to be returned directly back to the magazine. (2): Belief and calculate: Rounds fired from this weapon overpenetrate targets and ricochet 10 times. [b]Restraining order[/b] Void shotgun [i]Don't touch me[/i] Perks: (1): Range finder: ADS increases range. (2): By law: Firing this weapon knocks you back three metres. Hitting a target with this weapon knocks them back three meters. Works in midair. [b]Treasure vault[/b] Arc fusion rifle [i]Open the doors, and pry the treasure from within. -Unknown inscription[/i] Perks: (1): Reactive reload: Reloading after a kill grants bonus damage for a short while. (2): Secret treasure: This weapon can hold up to five shots before firing all charged shots in one complete burst. The more shots are charged, the wider the spread of the projectiles.

Wolf that Raveneth: Overpenetrates enemies, comes with a red-dot that allows for easy targeting. Bullets stall within an enemy and alter trajectory to hit enemies. 1. Has a chance to fire two rounds at once. 1.5 [i]Devour the Prey:[/i]- Three consecutive precision hits in rapid succession will add another round and increase stability. 2. [i]Ze'ev[/i]: Has a chance to deal high bonus damage with one trigger pull. Precision hits increase damage of the next shot, with an added bonus of the excess damage it took to kill an enemy.

      • [b]Sword of Light[/b] Exotic Scout Rifle Solar Damage [i]"Harness your divine light, and destroy the darkness."[/i] [b]Perks[/b] 0) Spear of Light: This weapon has the ability to fire all of its rounds at once at the cost of a very long reload. (Triggered by holding fire button, can also fire normally) 1) Luck in the Chamber: One random bullet does considerable bonus damage. (Does not apply to SoL) 2) Choices are: Perfect Balance, Lightweight, and Field Scout. 3) Forged in Light: Option 1- SoL has perfect stability, but decreased range. Option 2- SoL has increased range, but low stability. This weapon has a below average rate of fire, magazine size of 12, (goes to 27 w/ field scout) and high dmg per shot. Can 3 shot in crucible. I think this would be really fun to use, and it would feel a bit like a fusion rifle, but harder to use and more rewarding!

      • [b]Light At The End of The Tunnel[/b] - Exotic Sniper Rifle "It's a very long tunnel." Solar Damage Extremely low ROF (Bolt action - cycled after every shot) Max Impact Max Range Poor Stability Extremely low Reload Magazine 3 (Mag-Fed Bolt Action) Specials; Explosive Incendiary Sabot - Rounds Explode on Impact and Over-penetrate leaving very minor Solar DoT. Mobile Artillery - Precision Hits cause double damage at the cost of twice the ammunition. OP? Maybe but it has it's drawbacks, horribly slow reload between shots, and the gamble of more damage at the cost of ammo for precision shots. Real world equivalent? Think TAC-50. Something that puts major damage into the next area code if need be.

Kinda Good Advice - 1/2 of the magazine will return if missed 3. Permission - Deals extra damage to enemies that deal you damage "[i]I'd also like to imagine it's a hand cannon with an AI built into it like Super Good Advice"[/i] [b]VOYS ( Voice On Your Shoulder) - Exotic Scout Rifle[/b] "[i]will you shut up? You're messing my aim"[/i] [u]Perks:[/u] 1. Reload Speed - Precision kills speed up your reloads 2. Third Eye - Radar stays on while your sights are up 3. VOYS - Long range kills will significantly increase damage while significantly decreasing stability "[i]I love the idea of AI weapons if you didn't notice"[/i]

[u]Marked by God[/u]: When an enemy is sighted while aiming down sights, this enemy will become marked and will take 5% more damage [i]and[/i] be effected by random perks on this gun. 1.a)[u] Flared Magwell[/u] (Only with God's Spear) 1.b) [u]Surplus[/u] (Only with God's Shield) 1.c) [u]Firefly[/u] (Only With God's Bow) 2.a) [u]God's Spear[/u]: When you kill a marked target with a precision damage, arc light chains to nearby targets (like arcbolt grenade), but from all from one target 2.b) [u]God's Shield[/u]: When you kill a target with non precision damage, a void light shield is spawned in front of you. You have decreased movement speed and cannot shoot through, until you aim down sights, while the shield lowers. Lasts 15 secs. 2.c) [u]God's Bow[/u]: When three marked targets are killed in quick succession, this gun absorbs the solar light of the sun and turns into a weaker version of golden gun that can deal precision damage.           Name: [b]ERROR CODE, exotic sniper, solar damage[/b] 0) this weapon can be equipped in the primary weapon slot 1) 3rd eye: radar remains active while aiming down this weapons sights 2) ERROR CODE: (PVP) dealing precision damage coupled with reloading has a chance to give the effected enemy a random error code, either disconnecting them or KTO. (PvE) dealings precision damage has a chance to remove the enemy from the game world, essentially "kicking them to orbit". Does not work unless sheilds are down. Warning: when in the primary slot, this weapon had increased chance to KTO your opponent, but also increases the chance of you yourself being KTO'd.

            Exotic Nomenclature: The Singularity Weapon class: Primary Weapon type: Sniper Rifle Flavor text: [i]In a time before the Golden Age a prediction was born. "Man and machine will collide. Who so ever remains will be neither."[/i] 1st Perk: Transcendence: Due to advances in man/machine interfacing, a weapon scope is no longer required. Instead the scope zoom is now a feature of the optics in the eye. This results in a complete reduction in scope glint. 2nd Perk: Machine Sense: Advances in the field of sensor and automated response technology have given rise to this perk. While aiming down sights if a player is within a certain radius around the sniper and automated protocol triggers. This results in the sniper being automatically removed from ADS and equipping their special weapon. Increased special weapon fire rate and reload speed occur during this protocol. Let me know what you all think. Constructive criticism welcomed.
