Sorry but who wants glimmer? If the gun would make enemies drop ascended stuff I'd be sold out on it but glimmer? Seriously? I have to run to the gunsmith what feels like every two hours to buy ammo packs I already have enough of because I cannot hand in the stuff at the cryptarch because I have too much glimmer.

Of course that would be out of the question^^ It was just an example. They should give the gun a perk that increases the rate at which higher tier engrams drop. That would be great. It would be a farming gun :)
