How so? Destiny is not extending a service. It is a product that is sold by retailers. The only service that you receive is from said retailers. McDonalds, on the other hand, is a large part of the service industry. You might be buying a burger and fries, but you can easily get that at any cafeteria. Or even, make it yourself. The true thing that McDonalds is making money on is a service. To be accurate with his comparison, he would have to make comments about the service and not the product.

  • We bought a user license with Destiny. It was not what was advertised. Simple as that. So you´re allowed to use a product of which most consumers thought it would be completely different than this. And btw isn´t sales ALWAYS service as well? He even made up that comparison also in displaying the MCD employee that way. Nope pretty accurate, sorry.

    1. Bungie is not a sales company; therefore the license is not registered through Bungie, but Activision. 2. Never was it advertised to being anything. All the statements are in the end subjective. A good metaphor would to have "The Best Burgers" on the sign. If they told consumers that it was one thing then release something different then we'd be somewhere else. Then the single patty reference would be fitting. 3. The ViDocs, at best, are their aspirations to what they want to make the game. Similar to Peter Molyneux. He made statements of trees growing in real time during E3 when Fable was being developed. There were no real-time trees growing. It caused a lot of hate and confusion. 4. The patty reference is an illegal business practice. One that can result in multiple lawsuits. Such a trespass would spell the near end of Bungie as a company. Not accurate, sorry. I believe that the game could have been handled better, but it is too late for that. I bought digital, so I've already cast my vote. All I can do now is praise it for what it is. Comment on it's shortcomings. And give insight into what I would like to see in the future. These belligerent comments do no good. Only harm.

  • Concluding from your points no review nor teaser nor ggames con with trailers and all the like is actually believable. It does not matter actually who really sales the game there is always som kind of responsibility towards the customer. I was shocked as i saw the vidoc that caught me in the video. Rememebr when they said that the shown female hunter had all kinds of rare stuff maybe even customized? It could not be further from what we have. It´s one thing if trees actually grow or not but they never retrieved from something like the rich story based content and so on (which is a joke in narration). Oh look we have that grimoire online - seriously? And the lawsuits comparison is not too far - there is even a guy in this fan forum who started a thread about it. Red Bull was pulled into a conduct for not giving wings actually(!!!!). This game has no story content as the package says. It´s not our fault (as customers) if they do such things ... This is not belligerent but necessary. This is a choice for the industry and the customer as well. Are we willing to accept strategies like this one? If so we could wear shirts with "Milk me!" printed on the front. There is a vast crowd demanding answers at least and they are being trolled in the best case. As things develop more and more questions come up. Sorry but you simply can´t legitimate any of both companies behaviour it´s like taking the blame for them. Harm has been done. True. To a lot of people.
