They planned out their DLC ahead of time! *gasp!* They are trying to get money for something they are making like some kind of business! *gasp!* Get over yourself and stop acting so entitled.

  • Is it entitlement, or a sense of getting what you paid for?

  • I feel like I got exactly what I paid for, I think the reason a lot of people are mad is because they had unrealistic expectations for Destiny.

  • "Unrealistic" as in what Bungie promised.

    1. "I Feel". Feelings are subjective, and not fact. Try to understand this and express your feelings in a logical fashion, instead of attempting to insult others with an unnecessary comment. It's just kind of mean :/ 2. Many of us are comparing Destiny to other games, as well as the Legacy of Halo. We never expected it to be close to their level, maybe expectations were set too high. You cannot deny the fact that the majority of the evidence points towards content being on the disk prior, regardless of "future DLC release." And if the DLC was planned ahead of time, you are essentially saying the same thing we are. Content that should have (and was shown) been in the game prior to it's release is not playable, and that is an issue because why would I ever pay for the placeholder of something I am going to pay more for later? Especially when you can literally enter and walk around in these areas. Their deadline was more important than our satisfaction. 3. It may have been unrealistic, but the expectations did not appear out of thin air. There are SO many examples of things Bungie EXPLICITLY stated would be within the game, and even things that they have shown in Vidocs that are not apart of the game currently. These things are what created our expectations. And even if you say "well this will be released on DLC." Why would I pay for a game that showcases something, If I knew I was going to have to pay even MORE to get everything that was showcased before I made the original purchase? Even if you don't agree (and that is fine) this is something that at least needs to be looked into by EVERY Destiny player. Do not go into a topic or thread with a per-determined opinion on a situation. Analyze and listen to the evidence and arguments on both sides, and make your comments based on that. Because to be honest, If I pay the same amount for a Triple A game that is expected to be the best of the best, and I have a subpar experience (and these people make up the majority of Destiny players) of course I am going to feel entitled and want my money back. Because it is MY experience and MY money. I WORKED FOR IT. Not you or anyone else. And I DESERVE THAT EXPERIENCE, OR MY MONEY BACK. NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS.

How about this, I got EXACTLY what I paid for. The DLC is NOT on the disc. The reason those parts of the map are there, is because this game isn't a typical mmo because it is on the a console. They cannot release an expansion that completely adds new areas to the current game without causing major problems. Imagine players that don't have the DLC, will they simply have their own version of Earth? That wouldn't work, and that's why there is already the geography for the expansions. Also, what Bungie is doing right now, is making new weapons, armor, adding enemies, all the parts of the expansion that actually take a significant amount of work. It's not as simple as "drag and drop enemies" and you're done. Bungie never said we would be getting what we are getting for DLC as part of the game. What you consider them to be falsely advertising to you, was all opinion. Don't compare Destiny to Halo, it's not supposed to be like Halo, compare it to other games coming out now, and you will realize that Destiny is a great game and we'll worth the $60 pricetag. Even if you don't particularly like it.

  • Actually the DLC is on the disc. Get your facts right before you continue the argument.

Exactly! Why is this so hard for people to understand. I can't believe I paid 60 dollars, the same price for games like Skyrim, Halo 3, Borderlands 2, and other greats. Destiny is meager compared to those. I did NOT get what I paid for. And the fact that the DLC has been found on the disc solidifies our argument. The only way someone can argue for Bungie at this point is blatantly lying and ignoring facts.
