Post (Atheon) Patch Mythoclast & Pocket Infinity
I don't have the gun yet, but I've done the raid on hard twice legit with my 30 warlock and just don't even want the gun at this point because of all those who cheesed Atheon AND NOW TEMPLAR to get this once prestigious weapon. In my opinion, the post patch Mythoclast should feature different stats/ability rolls than the pre patch Mythoclast. Every day I see a dozen or more guys in the crucible with the Mythoclast, some of them with levels and grimoire scores so low they would have had to be carried through the hard raid to have their team cheese Atheon, I recognize that there are a few of you out there who got the gun legitimately, and for those who did, getting another one will simply be a matter of time and no problem. It doesn't seem like such an unreasonable idea to me since the current Mythoclast has lost all essence of prestige it ever held because of exploits by certain players.
On the topic of the Pocket Infinity, the gun is useless now and unworthy of its exotic status. Bungie has gone back and acknowledged that they went too far with the Mythoclast, but why not the Pocket Infinity? For those of you who thought it was OP, every shot after the first did 1/2 damage and the gun kicked into space if you had the Pocket Infinity stat selected in the skill tree, not to mention the charge time is higher with the gun maxed than any fusion rifle I've seen in the game. Light/ Beware, Purifier VII, Wizard 77, etc. are all more viable options for a fusion rifle since the Pocket Infinity nerf, and they are LEGENDARY. I haven't seen this discussed yet very widely, possibly because the bounty for it such a colossal PIA.
Let Bungie and I know your thoughts on this.

1 ReplyI'm a legit user and got it roughly 2 weeks 1,5 week before the nerf. I wouldn't mind if they took the mythoclasts from all the players after the patch. I saw so many post about people complaining that even the Templar fight was to hard. Would be cool if they made a different colored one for after the patch with the current stats and the old on on the nerfed stats they had :p imagine a red vex or a black even. Maybe I just smoked to much.. Who knows!

5 RepliesPocket infinity is stupidly op, as with any fusion rifle. You should never be able to one shot someone from 50 feet away unless you're sniping.

8 RepliesI've done the raid 8+ times on hard and not gotten the vex so the whole only a matter of time thing is relative since I've done it for a month and not gotten it
