"I Only Kill Oracles"
I had someone tell me this during a raid last night when I told them to take left plate.
I asked 'em, "What do you plan on doing when they patch the raid and change it to random teleports and you have no idea what to do when it comes to the other positions?" [i]It's not like it's rocket science, but still.[/i]
He said, "I go on bnet everyday and I didn't see anything about that." I booted him from the fireteam and we beat it with 5 players.
Point is, learn the other positions... learn them all. It makes rotating to a different position very easy when something bad happens (deaths). You'll also be ready for when they patch the raid. Too many times have I seen people being told, "You're doing this." or "I need you for this. Go here." and they're like, "I only kill oracles."

Seriously the portal is so easy, one guy grabs the relic and goes down kills the Bad guys, The other to provide some brief support inform of grenades, rockets, or if a hunter the gold gun. Then the two without the shield shoot that work goes well getting cleaned by the relic guy. Rinse and repeat bam

Hahaha nice!! It's actually easy to stay outside, and it's easy to go in.. As long as you're playing with people who know how to do everything it will be alright! I play with people that only hold the relic... I don't think they will function well when the patch happens..

I've only been through the raid once. We had a team of newbs with only one person who did the raid once. Took us 4 hour as we kept wiping. But once I experienced the shield it became really easy to use. I don't understand how people don't realize you kill the monsters with the shield and people without the shield kill the oracles. Communication is key. You're either at Venus or Mars. Let me know if there's those dammed suicide bombers outside of the portal. If I die and drop the shield you pick it up. L1 is to cleanse. It recharges just like grenade. The only thing that I wasn't able to do was the disappearing platform. But I did make the ledge. I kept dying at the ledge so my team ended up helping me. Kind of ashamed to be the last to make it but I made up for it with the raises. We would have wiped if it wasn't for my resurrection. <3 warlock sunsinger

3 RepliesSo....why wouldn't you be helpful and explain to him how to hold positions instead of just kicking him off? How is he supposed to know how to hold positions of nobody tells him?

I can do all of the roles, but in what MMO are people supposed to do it all? Are healers supposed to tank? Are tanks supposed to heal? Are casters supposed to tank? Are tanks supposed to cast? Raids have had specific designed roles for decades. Instead of whining and kicking him, you should have been patient and taught him. Because let's face it, holding plates and being a primary Atheon attacker is easier then going in the portal.

1 ReplyLast raid I went in I'd never gone into the portals pre-Atheon. But I was asked to so I have it a shot ended up being me and one other guy doing both portals ad getting both relics. Once we had our shit sorted both portals took less than a minute each. Learn, adapt and evolve - should be the raid motto

I've done hard raids with people who have never raided before. I am a good teacher though.

When i first did the raid, it was me and a group of friends. Long story short, everyone scrambled and tried all different kinds of positions because we didn't know what we were doing. We learned through experiance. Now we may not be Masters of all but we know the jist of every position

"I go on bnet everyday and I didn't see anything about that." Probably because you're pretending not to see it or you didn't even look. He deserved to be kicked. Opening portals is the easiest thing to do in the Atheon fight which is also the easiest part of the whole raid. "I only do this" is a sentence full of shit.

7 RepliesHave done the raid three times, figured out all the jobs on the first run through, only thing i cant do very well is find the dam hole in the gorgan maze.

We had a noob run with is the other day. When atheon opens the time vortex and you get trapped inside the shields. He didn't realize you shoot them. He just stood there in place.

Lol, if that actually happened then that's pretty funny. I don't blame you for kicking him. Especially if you were trying to be helpful and tell everyone where to be for phases.

I make people play in all spots when I run the VoG. Usually stick to being the relic holder myself, but I've made all my guys use it so they're somewhat comfortable with it if need be. People who can only do one job in the VoG are basically useless.

Please people try to learn [b]all[/b] of the different jobs! Even if you're terrible at it, as long as you know what you're doing it's ok!

1 ReplySurely you can still do decent at other parts of raids. Just tell them what to do.

Next patch guys learn how to use shield ask your raid member how and ask them to let you use it. My fire team was nice enough to let me use it till the end.
