My fellow Titans:
Let me set the scene for you;
You're just wondering around, capturing some points in control, when you decide that popping your Ward of Dawn is a good idea.
Good?
Great.
Now you have a viable way to defend the objective for a short period of time until it goes away.
..and by 'goes away' I mean that some cocky Hunter or a snotty Warlock has come along, used their respective Super Charge and now, 3 seconds after you popped it up to relax under with a spot of Titan Tea, you are sat naked, alone, and wondering where your dead teammates are.
Can any of my brothers relate?
Can anyone offer a suitable explination as to why [i]our[/i] super is the weakest? When it is currently the only subclass that really promotes strategy.

Edit: This thread was made with a fun little theme to it to try and avoid all the usually negativity on these forums, so thanks for everyone for keeping it civil.
Edit 2: I have the saint-14 helm, and usually do very well within my precious bubble. It just makes me a sad little Titan when the super gets taken down by another super.
Edit 3: Im not saying that it shouldn't be taken down when a super is used against it. What I am saying is that it shouldn't kill everything inside. The warlock and hunter supers currently just fly through it as if it wasn't there.

I dunno, it's always kind of hilarious to watch them use their Super to pop my bubble and kill me... And then watch my three teammates roll in and murder them right after. Makes me laugh every time.

All I would like is for the TItan bubble to be unbreakable. I believe offensive supers should always be completely negated by defensives, as otherwise there is almost no point using the defensive one.

Get a titan exotic helmet that blinds their sorry butts and blow'em to bits... lol. That works for me... They think twice after going WTF?!?! I cant see? (Its the Helmet of Saint-14) and lucky enough I got it from the raid XD.

Ha, I know the feeling. Just the sound of a golden gun power up, as I sit in my little bubble of sanctuary, causes me to curse the hunter class. In all honesty, however, being on both sides of that situation and others where one super stops/cancels out another, I'm perfectly okay with it. If there was no way for the other team to pop Our bubble then even I would say it's Op. If you doubt my opinion on that, roll with double defenders in control and bounce of each others special and let the kill, assist and support bonuses generate you another special way before your partners bubble is even done. Granted it's a really cheap tactic, but it's fun as hell when things get real and the other team swarms you with every intention of tea bagging you guys after they finally take the flag. All in all I think that 'knowing' my wod can be popped adds to the fun.

I ran defender titan while I worked on void requirement on thorn bounty. I actually didn't get it busted too many times. More often I had people trying to come in and get me and was able to use it to my advantage for quick kills. I do agree that it gets busted too easily by other supers though

I 100% agree with this, or even a Striker Titan can come along and use his without even touching the WoD, and immediately it is destroyed. This super isn't offensive at all, it doesn't give you an almost "confirmed" kill like then Gunslinger or Bladedancer or all the others, instead, its just a defensive help. Now if this defense can easily be destroyed, whats the point?

I see what you mean but when I go in a Titan bubble it is very hard to kill people but i do agree it could use a slight buff

However, I have come with a soluutioooooon [spoiler]you can not contain SAFETY WATER[/spoiler] [spoiler]JK[/spoiler] Get inside your Ward of Dawn then break out a legendary upgraded shotgun. It's like when that nerdy warlock and "so cool" hunter enters the fighting cage. And completely just gets obliterated. What also is a good combination with the shotgun is my current helmet Helm of the Saint-14. It stuns anything that enters completely blocking there vision which is perfect for melee and shotguns. Hope my friendly titans found this helpful.

I don't really have this problem. I go Armor of Light and sit inside my bubble. I'll only poke out if I can secure a kill with Universal Remote or Light/Beware or, if I'm really lucky and they're not bright, I'll get some laughs out of tagging a sniper in the face with a mag grenade and watch him try to jump away from the purple orb of OSHI-- on his face. Bladedancers and Strikers can pop my bubble, err pop [i]me[/i], but Warlocks are very easy to thwart. Golden Gun can best WoD but not often enough for me to be worried about seeing one. It's funny how melee attempts at the VERY edge of Ward are negated because the contact occurs but is forced to register as though it's striking the barrier. Takes about 3 to 4 melee hits to kill a Hunter in Arc Blade but I've done it a couple of times. It's HILARIOUS. AND if you can time it correctly (assuming you haven't already deployed WoD) you can cancel out a Fist of Havoc with WoD. Done that a couple times too. It WILL leave you without a bubble, though, so you have to be quick because the Striker has a longer recovery animation. He has to stop kneeling and ready his weapons after FoH.

1 ReplyI've had this happen quite a few times and it is fairly annoying. When I use it one of two things usually happen. A. It is nearly instantly penetrated and I've basically wasted my super due to another class having theirs ready. or B. Hordes of the enemy run into my bubble and I proceed to bash their faces in with my fist. My record as of today is brutally murdering 4 players with my bare hands before a warlock came along with his purple wave of death... It truly appalls me that people have yet to learn you DO NOT enter our bubble with us inside for THEY SHALL NOT LIVE! My bigger annoyance is the fact that Force Barrier has a horrible tendency to take is sweet time activating.

Bubble is the best Super for PvP if you use it right. Blessing of Light, pop out, gun someone down, strafe into your bubble, overshield recharge, strafe out of your bubble, gun someone down. Truly the GOAT super.

I don't really play with my Titan but I agree. I think if the bubble is popped, that shield should retract onto the Titan as an over-shield and all others inside would die.

you know we can use the hulk smash super as well, it kills everything. usually when i got my bubble its a titan smashing it.

4 RepliesWhat most ppl don't understand is that YES Titan word of dawn is a bubble BUT it's also a wall. You don't have to camp in the bubble u can also dance around it.

1 ReplyAs mentioned already, Helm of Saint - 14 is a must if you primary Defender. I've been waiting for Xur to sell it again since I did not have enough coins the first time; that makes me a sad panda....
