Once again: doesn't fit. The language doesn't fit. If it were "a consortium" it would say "one of the nine is a ghost who saw the edge" or whatever. None of them say that. It says that the entire group is one thing. The entire group is ghosts, or the darkness, or something else. Not to mention, ghosts and agents of the darkness wouldn't be working together. Nor would the warnings, if what the grimoire implies about them is true.

  • Not really, the grimiore cards refers to the being 1 thing and implies there unity i.e they are 1 consortium of races and not individual races scatterd around the cosmos. Theres also other quotes that talk about the keepers of a thousand planets that calved them up between them

  • I meant what the grimoire implies about ghosts and warminds. Ghosts are infused with light so why would they work with agents of the darkness?

  • See i take the word light and dark very cautiously, if you turn the light off in your living room dose it soon become an evil place because its dark? Or is it more safe when the lights on? Its all perception and the problem with that is it can be manipulated. Ive said it before but i see it like this, dont look at it like every were the travaler is light, look at it like every were the travaler has been is in darkness. What if the travaler for all the technology and knowledge he gives races he takes somthing ellse?, only the speaker would know the actual deal and he has his face coverd could just be a servent of the travaler him self, the ghosts are just fragments of the travaler shaped in to dinklebots so they too obey the travalers will.

  • Here's the problem: light and dark are polar opposites. Darkness is defined as "the absence of light." So yes, our perception on which is good or bad may change, but by definition they can coexist in the same place. Because they are opposed, they could not be working together in the 9

  • But that comes from your prejudice to the light, what if light=bad and dark=good in this pretext. I.e if 9 diffrent races think the travaler is bad and only the travaler thinks the nine are bad doesnt the law of probability dictate that the travaler is bad?

  • So 9 races, at least 1 one which is supposed to be something the traveler created, and according to you, is a servant of the traveler. So. Once again, we come to the conclusion that these people wouldn't work together. I never said that light must be good. I only said that light and dark are fundamentally opposed to each other. This is basic science, and basic storytelling. Since they are opposed, a servant of one will not work with a servant of another.

The traveler created the ghosts. And if what a couple people have theorized about Rasputin (based on the grimoire), he would be the last warmind. And, he doesn't seem to like the fallen, or the darkness. So again, why would he work with them toward any goal? And, when who are with who? The ghost don't part with the traveler, and if you're right that one of the people is an agent of darkness, the there you go. Two members of the 9 directly opposed to each other's ultimate agenda. From how the 9 are spoken of in the grimoire and in game, they are unified in their pursuits. A ghost, warmind, and agent of darkness would not be unified in their pursuits.

  • What im saying is the warminds the grim card is talking about aren the warminds of earth i.e rasputin. I think they are much older and are from the out circle of planets any ways so they wernt of human creation, i didnt take the ghost as a litteral sence of the word i took it as in a 'ghost' story telling, like the stranger could be described as a ghost because she moves between the shadows making contact when she needs to. Intresting you bring rasputin up with helping the fallen, can you remember the dust palace mission?, in it rasputin how i saw it locked you out and wouldnt open the doors so you could help defeat the cabal who were attacking, i saw it as he was trying to keep you out aswell as the cabal. Also when you took the satalite array back rasputin doesnt communicate with us again why? If rasputin is on our side why dose he avoid us? Why doesnt he open the doors for us to help, i think rasputin isnt helping for a reason and gaurdians arent actually human any more were zombies with a travalers light power source if you will

I think it's pretty obvious guardians aren't human (since some of them are awoken and exos). And why wouldn't you think the warminds in the grimoire are the same warminds we've heard about in the game (which weren't all confined to earth by the way). And you're reading too much into the writing. Stories are consistent in what words they use, and how they use them. The word "ghost" in destiny is only used to refer to the servants of the traveler who bring dead people back to life to fight as guardians. So why would you interpret it as anything else in this case? Plus, "ghosts" is even capitalized in the legends grimoire card, signifying that it is not the "general sense" of the word.

  • I dont think its that simple as you see it but i could be wrong, thats the joy of open ended storys, they just need to add to the main vanilla body of story to make it work
