A silent gamer pushed too far.
I'm gonna come right out and say it, I love Destiny! I find everything enjoyable about it, even the lack of purple drops, Xur and the items he sells, getting my butt kicked in the Crucible, Strikes with players who are trying to get the "Complete a Strike without dying" bounty...etc. But what has pushed me too far are the players, if you can call them that, who bitch and complain about every little thing. Look, if you think the game is that bad, trade it in and buy a can of "shut the hell up". If you have such great ideas, why aren't you writing/ making games? I think it's amazing what Bungie has done with this game, yes the story is lacking a bit, but the technical stuff that's happening on the back-end is great (seamless story, patrol and public events). Are there things that I would like to see different? Sure, but it's not a big deal to me. I enjoy the game, and other games for what they are and represent. If I don't like a game I won't play it, if it aggrevates me, I won't play it. So I guess my bottom line is to those who bitch and complain is, find a new game to play and stop whining. But maybe you are this way with all games. And remember you are not entitled to anything, let Bungie do what they do best... create great games. Thanks for the time.
(EDIT) It seems that some of you are missing my point. I never said to quit communicating with Bungie. Constructive criticism goes a long way. There are some great ideas here on the forum, but to me those are over shadowed by the ignorant ones; "stupid bungie, now my gun does 2% less damage or I'm entitled to my exotic because I got it from a drop, you're not because you bought it from Xur (I love Xur). Those are the whinners that I'm talking about. I'm not sure if the game needs to be "improved" or just expanded. I like the forums overall, I enjoy reading about creative ideas. I just don't understand all of the bashing and disrespect. Again, thanks for the time.

If everyone just 'shuts up and plays the game' how will developers gauge how well received their product is? Giving feedback and constructive criticism is essential for any company to help tailor their product to ensure improvement and growth in sales/ player base. You sitting there silent yet slightly discontent is really not helping you as the consumer or the company. Pretty sure bungie would like to hear feedback and not complete silence or what your doing, complaining about people sharing opinions and critisims.

We are entitled to our opinions just like you are entitled to yours bungie is a big boy of a company they can deal with it besides is everyone just shut up they'd never know what was wrong so everyone pitch's in their own voice

You know developer forums were originally created so that devs could get direct insight into fans feelings and ideas? So yea I can say what I want to change about the game, it's kinda encouraged. This is the type of game that so many people WANT to be good but falls short, so if they want to vent on here why the heck do you care? I don't see how your post is any different, your just bitching about people instead of a game.

I enjoy playing Destiny as well and there are flaws we know that and I will voice an opinion on what is good and not so good about this game. There is, however, the right (respectful) way to go about it. Understandably, though, people tend to get a bit angry when faults aren't addressed for weeks and the silence from a company on these faults feels like you're being ignored. (Edited for typo)

Not even going to read all that. No offense. But I've recently had a similar experience with a delightful MMO known as Wildstar. It's a brand new IP, and the first game made by its devs. There's a reason that many people like it, and describe it as having such potential. It's had a bit of a rocky start, but even before that became apparent, there were endless waves of people spouting negativity and declaring the game prematurely dead. Its forums brim with it. But it's still a good game. I, for one, enjoy it. It could die, but there's no telling right now. In Destiny's case, it's definitely going to be successful, but either way there's going to be loads of whining and crying and doomsaying. It's kind of sad, really, but I suppose it's the way of things. At least this forum is good for a quick laugh now and then.

TLDR but this seems like another "hate the haters" topic. This game is GOOD but it has its bag of problems just like every other game. Bungie billed this as a corner stone of gaming, but really its just another fps that doesnt hold a candle to actual revolutionary games.

I play 9 to 10 hours a day and i find it boring after 2 days because i literally have everything all marks bith vanguard and cruicible weeklys and dailys after theres not alot to do

17 RepliesI'm entitled to wishing I had more to do in Destiny. The only truly sad part about Destiny's actual content is the somewhat lack of PvE replay ability. No randomness, no little tweaks that make a startling difference in how one would normally play, no surprise enemies that only appear occasionally... The Burns really make the stuff easier, Light Switch only matters if you haven't figured out how to stand on something in times of need, not even sure Epic does anything, Juggler seems to make MORE ammo drop for alternate weapons (Heavy ammo everywhere, all the time!), and I feel like I'm missing one, but if I am, it's probably not even worth noting. Nightfall is the only one, but we sadly only do that once a week. Also- "If you have such great ideas, why aren't you writing/ making games?" Actually in the process of working on a small RPG, thank you.
