A silent gamer pushed too far.
I'm gonna come right out and say it, I love Destiny! I find everything enjoyable about it, even the lack of purple drops, Xur and the items he sells, getting my butt kicked in the Crucible, Strikes with players who are trying to get the "Complete a Strike without dying" bounty...etc. But what has pushed me too far are the players, if you can call them that, who bitch and complain about every little thing. Look, if you think the game is that bad, trade it in and buy a can of "shut the hell up". If you have such great ideas, why aren't you writing/ making games? I think it's amazing what Bungie has done with this game, yes the story is lacking a bit, but the technical stuff that's happening on the back-end is great (seamless story, patrol and public events). Are there things that I would like to see different? Sure, but it's not a big deal to me. I enjoy the game, and other games for what they are and represent. If I don't like a game I won't play it, if it aggrevates me, I won't play it. So I guess my bottom line is to those who bitch and complain is, find a new game to play and stop whining. But maybe you are this way with all games. And remember you are not entitled to anything, let Bungie do what they do best... create great games. Thanks for the time.
(EDIT) It seems that some of you are missing my point. I never said to quit communicating with Bungie. Constructive criticism goes a long way. There are some great ideas here on the forum, but to me those are over shadowed by the ignorant ones; "stupid bungie, now my gun does 2% less damage or I'm entitled to my exotic because I got it from a drop, you're not because you bought it from Xur (I love Xur). Those are the whinners that I'm talking about. I'm not sure if the game needs to be "improved" or just expanded. I like the forums overall, I enjoy reading about creative ideas. I just don't understand all of the bashing and disrespect. Again, thanks for the time.

I agree with you sir. But just just give it time and it will whine down (see what I did there? XD.) Honestly though, I think here soon it'll lessen. It already has a little bit, I mean there is still a lot of that going on, but it does seem like less.

It's a ok game with lazy cut and paste features even a addict like me can see. Oh ya your comment about the 2% dmg is so ignorant, it's not the 2% Dmg ppl r crying out about. Instead it's the 50% decrease in precision bonus. 1.50 to 1.25. That is huge dude.

5 RepliesDon't stress yourself about the complainers. Bungie ignores them anyway. Complaints aren't helpful to the future development of the game so Bungie doesn't have time to read through them and skips them over. They do however take time to read most all posts of constructive criticisms. So my advice is, do as bungie does and ignore the complainers completely. Only comment on posts that promote good feedback and constructive debates. To be honest I'm only ever on the forums to get my destiny fix at work.... When I'm home id rather just be playing and I think that's the case for the vast majority of the player base

Whining about player is even less constructive... if everything is so perfect for you then maybe you are a casual player.. then great for you. But for me the game lacks in to much differents points. The gameplay and all that we know is great, IS great. It made me play the game for 3 weeks, but now i have nothing in the game that would make me come back. I've done everything there is to do in 3 weeks(with school AND work) If people is whining instead of doing constructive comments its because they feel like bungie told us it was so much bigger than wath it is actually. And that is a fact. There a lot of games with a lot lot lot more content. And btw all the people giving great ideas and there a re a LOT have no answers from bungie so we don't know if they are working on something to solve our main concerns . We are not asking for updates each 48hours. We just want some answers. That is why people is starting to get mad after more than a month of posts. Im also sure that people who is whining about the game are already not playing anymore (me included) They just come and chek here every day hoping for bungie to answer us.. I don't think bungie wants to lose half their comunity because they did not do shit about anything. Why should i care for raid balancing every week if i can't even go in the raid since i have no friends playing the game and i have about 2-3h of play time i cant lose an hour to find a fireteam. Your post was way more useless than the people whining. i was the first defending bungie when the game came out. Then i finished everything in three weeks and waited for more content in queen's wrath. There was nothing i could use. i got scheptical. Then i heard the budget was 500 million $ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was then ashamed to see some kickstarter free games with visual-only micro-transactions having more content and more deep progression. And they still manage to pull out free big expansions. And they all have a real comunity-focus system base and it work just GREAT. So thans for your useless post. For people who really wants to improve the game so we can play it for the next ten years and not 3 weeks (expansion = +2lvl = 3days to one week? WTF?) go to the '' Bungie : A Letter from a concern player. the initial post is really constructive and i think what i've added is also pertinent so if you can go bump that shit so bungie maybe one day hear our feelings. There is plenty of other helpfull and constructive post so bump them. We are not trying to ''bitch'' Bungie. Some just don't know how to express themselves or how to cool down your nerves before posting something.That we CAN'T CHANGE. We are just trying to tell them what to do so we can all (casual and hardcore players) enjoy the game and his potential. You don't want another FPS take your initial Idea and actually make the game everybody is asking for.

There's a lot of people who enjoy the game. Thing is, because they enjoy it they are too busy playing it to troll forums. So the forums are filled with nasty folk. I guarantee you for ever person on this forum complaining, there are 5 or more that are in the game enjoying it.

It's a symptom of society nowadays, too many people believing in entitlement, less folks believing in honest virtues. Are there issues with the game? Yeah. Are they making it unplayable? No. This ain't an issue of controls, graphics, mechanics, or difficulty. It's just folks wanting more and thinking they were mislead because they bought the game, not for what it was, but for the hype of it. These same morons are the folks that go out and buy the newest clothes, CD's etc etc. "Trendy" people. It's ok. They'll take their collective stupidity to the next new game soon enough.

You're right. Its not even a matter of defending Bungie, it just pisses me off how little appreciation some players show, hell, of course they can't have any fun with that attitude. Give feedback, Bungie wants it, but there is no need to get in such a bad mood about it.

1 ReplyI believe that the people complaining are a vocal minority. If 3 million people play a day, a vast majority probably never even visit the forums. Hopefully bungie has their people monitoring the game and taking the forums with a grain of salt. This is an incredible game with some problems. Hopefully bungie will work them out, it is early. I am willing to give it time.

The trouble is most of the people who bitch and moan on these forums are purely here to do just that and nothing is going to stop them from doing it in the future. :) I just completely tune those people out and ignore what they say - it doesn't phase me in the slightest. There will always be those people who need to bitch and moan and seek attention for doing so. :) They literally have nothing better to do and by addressing them directly all you're doing is inviting them to bitch and moan at you. Ignore the morons - they're not worth addressing and they're not going to present you with any logical/respectable/constructive ideas so only respond to the ones who do actually present logical/respectable/constructive ideas. :)

1 ReplyI notice this post has received a wave of negativity. Personally I think that highlights and proves the foul standard of person you find on the forums, but that's my opinion. It's true that people are greedy, nonsensical and selfish when it comes to this game. It's a fantastic game, probably the best created with what it [i]does[/i] have, and it's quite sad to see that everyone is too focused on what it doesn't. "I don't give a shit if I have awesome exotics, a vast, beautiful scenery, one of the most powerful guns in the game through coming last in the crucible, and endless hours of gameplay - I wanted to see Saturn, but Bungie lied." (So that you could explore it for three hours just like the other planets, and go back to moaning about something new of course).
