What has I done
-
I think you mean feminazis
-
Ya that too
-
I wouldn't put numbers on it, but a good chunk likely. Personally, it really bothers me when arguments are made about men that demonize them, for example, that all men need to learn to control their instinct, etc (in cases of -blam!- or catcalling or whatever) it's like, well now you're saying these base, evil desires are hard wired into all men, which is pretty... Sexist I guess. It's totally counterproductive. We are all equally capable of terrible, or wonderful things imo.
-
Saying men need to control their "instincts" is just as bad as telling women not to dress in inappropriate garments.
-
I'm confused by why you mean by this, are you sayin it's bad because it assumes men are sexual antagonists, or because you are telling someone to go against their "nature"?
-
I dunno, do all women want to dress inappropriately because it's in their nature?
-
Those arguments tend only to be used when people say things like "boys will be boys"
-
True, so much lol.
-
Feminism itself is a sexist movement.

Feminism, by definition, aims for equality. How is this sexist?
-
In action, it aims for women's rights. Most members have no interest in maintaining even the human rights of men.
-
You have no evidence for this whatsoever

#Heforshe Emma Watson's speech gave us this term. It means, quite simply, men and women for women's rights. In her speech, she briefly touched on problems facing men, but it's little more than lip service. After all, it not #Hewithshe, now is it? ----
* Women have always been the primary victims of war. Women lose their husbands, their fathers, their sons in combat. Women often have to flee from the only homes they have ever known. Women are often the refugees from conflict and sometimes, more frequently in today’s warfare, victims. Women are often left with the responsibility, alone, of raising the children. * Conference on domestic violence in San Salvador, El Salvador (17 November 1998).http://clinton3.nara.gov/WH/EOP/First_Lady/html/generalspeeches/1998/19981117.html -Hilary Clinton
I'm sure the men are fine. They're tough enough to handle being inscribed into an army, torn away from their families, and sent to die in a faraway country. ---- Title IX, an American law granting equal opportunity of education to both genders, has been abused in the realm of school sports teams. In an effort to avoid lawsuits, schools have cut men's teams in order to match the relatively small number of women's teams. Activists groups have decried schools where, despite having a female majority in attendance, had a minority in sports. No concern was given about men having the minority in attendance, though, and nobody cared if there's just fewer women interested in sports. Equal representation must be given, even if it doesn't give equal rights, apparently.
-
Equal representation is silly if forced in the ways you suggested. Just because I'm feminist doesn't mean I agree with everything done to apparently forward women's rights.

There's two kinds of mainline feminists: Radical feminists who use bogus facts, fearmongering, and mob tactics to push their agenda, and to silence dissenting opinions and counterarguments. The media loves these people, because they sell stories. Thus, these are the people you hear about the most. Our beloved Anita Skareesian fits this category. Then there's sociological feminists, who back up their claims with studies and reasoning, and will acknowledge that there's social problems that men suffer from as well. They don't have the media's attention, which is a shame. I actually approve of these people. Christina Sommers fits into this category. My earlier examples do not, however.
-
Yeah, I'm definitely not a radical, they tend to be man haters as far as I can see
-
Can you disprove what he says?
-
Burden of proof is not on me.
-
I didn't say it was. But you're claiming he's wrong, convince me. I'm on his side of the fence. Convince me that feminists want what is best for me, as a straight white male.
