On a trip to the city, Christopher decided to stay the night at an old fashioned hotel. He had always been rather lonely, no wife and little friends, and hence was travelling alone. At the desk he was given room 53, and the receptionist replied "Enjoy your stay. But please, stay away from room 54." The request confused Christopher, but he asked no questions and carried his luggage to his hotel room. Once in the room, he realised he had brought nothing to do, and the TV had nothing on that would interest him. He lay on the bed, and the curiosity of what the problem was with room 54 grew in his head. He got up and made his way out the door, and then knelt down next to the door of room 54. He began to peek through the keyhole, to find a young girl inside dancing about the room. The girl was wearing nothing but her bra and pants, and hence Christopher stayed and watched. He continued to gaze at the girl through the key hole for a further half an hour until he realised the time and decided to go to bed. He slept for a few hours before waking up at 3 in the morning to a soft bang against the wall between his room and room 54. Christopher got up, wondering if the girl had hurt herself, and went back outside the door of room 54, where he again knelt down and peered through the key hole. But he could no longer see the room; all he could see was red. He stayed, waiting to see if the red would go, but it didn't. He finally went back to bed and slept through the night, and in the morning when leaving he walked past the receptionist's desk. Christopher walked up to the receptionist and then asked "What was wrong with room 54 anyway?" The receptionist said "You looked through the keyhole, didn't you?" Christopher admitted, and then the receptionist explained "A girl who was staying in that room a couple of years ago was murdered in her sleep. Not much is known about the girl and who killed her, but they say that her eyes were red."
