PVP Amuses Me
It's cute. Everyone runs around with shotguns thinking they're king shit. How about you put down the cheese kill and actually use a precision weapon. Don't consider this a cry for nerfing and whatnot. I don't see it as my place to say such things, it's Bungie's game not mine. That doesn't excuse the douchebaggery that goes on. Oh yeah .. before you point out some horrible KDR record and spout the usual " get better noob " nonsense realize I never claimed to be pro nor did I ever say I would own people without the crutches. Save your elitist stupidity for the dick measuring contest with your friends. I played CoD like everyone else. I have good matches and I have bad, but with the lag compounding it I'm really just shaking my head at the Crucible. The lag really needs to be fixed though. I can't count how many times I've shot someone, or melee killed them, but it took three to four seconds for them to actually die. As in kill from behind. I'm pretty sure every one else is seeing this too. Fun game though. Since the VM nerf caught a lot of attention I'll say my thoughts on it. I never seen it in PVP myself, I could have and not realized it, but honestly if someone just looked at the weapon it's easy to tell it's too much for PVP. Taking it in there just begged for it to happen. Hopefully, and I seriously doubt this, with future elite weapons people have the smarts to not abuse them. Or maybe Bungie will find a way to separate PVP nerfs from PVE. EQ had an ingenious system but I think it was built in from the get go, the nerfs didn't actually kick in until you stepped into an arena. For Destiny the same could apply. If possible code it to only affect Crucible and Iron Banner if you so decide, I say if you decide because from what I read Iron Banner is SUPPOSED to be unbalanced. It's where those crazy good pvpers can square off without a single normalization.

2 RepliesI hate shotguns as well. It makes me laugh at people that run around with them never switching weapons. Even better are the ones getting pummeled by my hand cannon, the Last Word, but they aren't shooting back. Why? Because they are another pvp player looking for some false glory by using a shotgun. They have to get close, where as my hand cannon is a good short to medium range weapon. Hell it still works pretty decent at some longer ranges as long as I take my time aiming. As far as crucible lag goes it gets annoying. I see it more than I care too. I will shoot some players with a fusion rifle just to watch them get a melee kill on me. I'm looking at the screen like "how did they not die?" about 2 seconds after they kill me they fade into nothing and it tells me that I killed them with the fusion rifle. Same goes for some melee fights. I'll shoot somebody 2-3 times with the hand cannon which usually gets their shields off and half way dead but they get too close so I knife them... Same thing applies, they melee me back and a couple of seconds later boom, they die to my melee. There are some server issues to deal with but luckily I don't see them as much anymore. Fusion rifles are no better really, though they do take a second to charge. My normal loadout is the Last Word (hand cannon), 77 Wizard (Fusion Rifle), or The Cure (Rocket Launcher). My alternates are with Praelyth's Revenge (Sniper), Vanquisher VIII (Auto Rifle), or Plan C (Exotic Fusion Rifle). I cannot stand to carry a shotgun nor can I stand to be killed by one. If you manage to get close enough to me to hit me with it (since i'm glad they nerfed the range... was sick of getting killed by a shotty from 20 feet), maybe you deserve it. But the little guys that run around with nothing but a shotty because they can't aim any other weapon make me giggle...

Jesus christ. STOP GETTING CLOSE TO THEM WITH YOUR PRECISION WEAPONS THEN. -blam!-ing seriously. If you can't manage that then break out a fusion rifle or shotgun and kill them. If you suck too bad to kill them at their own game then you just need to quit. I'm better than 90% of the shotgunners I go against and you'll never see me camping. I'm always moving, always looking for a fight. If you let me get too close or you get too close that is YOUR fault.

Made even harder when your trying to do the exotic bounty a gift from ikora as you need to get a +25 K/D ratio.

I agree with lag it's actually pretty hilarious how many other things get complained on here when none of it matters if it continues to lag like it is. It even lagged during a tiger strike for me today. Doesn't lag in patrol or anything else like that without matchmaking of any sort

I also find it amusing when people use shotguns, and then have the nerve to tbag you afterwards. Some guy was running around just now with an invisible hand obviously with the full auto upgrade, spamming the living hell out of everyone. I was using the mythoclast so his first action is to tbag me. I messaged him and told him that he has some balls to tbag me when he's using a shotgun. His ignorant ass then complains about how OP the mythoclast is and how I died to him, even though it took him 4 shots and a melee to kill me with his shotgun. People don't realize that its essentially just an auto rifle at this point.

2 Repliescrucible is in no way unbalanced. all weapons work exactly as they should. the only reason people seem to have a problem with this is because they don't understand the concept of META or METAGAME. learn to adapt to the meta which is ARs and SGs. ironically the meta won't shift until they add more map variety and more unique weapons. so jesus people learn this concept and deal with it. all/most games with too variety have a meta.

I am level 13 playing level 25+ non stop using my weak guns against their legendary BS with high fire rates and their magic floating purple bombs. Come on Bungie Fix this bullshit

Though, just earlier today, I was in a match of Control and I literally couldn't deal any damage whatsoever to the enemy. But I could cap flags and take damage just fine. Pissed me off A LOT haha.

We are located in the mid west and are very active nightly, weekends, and our primary PvP night is fridays 7-1am E.s.t My hope is to have a core group of people who enjoy and excel at PvP.
