House of Wolves DLC is going to be about the Queen and Reef obviously so I suspect some of those bits will make it into that.
I'm guessing Mercury will be a continuation of the Vex story line so may come later as there's a line in one of the story missions that says the Vex turned Mercury into a machine in days.
Saturn and Jupiter are in the Grimoire too so again coming at some point.
It was either DLC or a subscription. They went with DLC.
Don't know why people keep bringing it up. They said 10 year game. Why would anyone think they'd get everything on day one?
I'm fairly sure they have lots of stuff planned/made/being worked on that we haven't seen a sniff of yet.

Prob because people expect more from a 60 dollar game that requires a sub to Xbox live or PSN to play. You're basically going to pay 180 dollars for 6 months of play with dlc.

I had psn and xbl anyway for the 'free' games. I don't think you can fairly add that cost to Destiny. Assuming they follow the 3 month plan after DLC 2 it will have been 9 months before you have to pay more than the initial cost of game+season pass or limited edition. I bought the Ghost edition. It was £150 here. (About $240 US) I think my stats put me at about $2 per hour played so far. And I've got those 2 DLC to play yet. Pretty sure I'll drop below $1 an hour by then ;)

And the game hasn't been out for two months yet. Anything but has put out so far in terms of events had been nerfed to the ground because of abysmal RNG (Queen's Wrath) or just simply didn't make a difference with what you had (Iron Banner). As more games start to come out people WILL LEAVE DESTINY. Hell AC:U might actually be fun with 4-player co-op.

Do you really want to play nothing but Destiny forever? ;) I want to play Bayonetta 2 next week. Once I hit 29 I'm done til the first DLC. That's fine with me. I've enjoyed my 100 odd hours so far. I'll dip in and out as stuff is released.

This is true. But those numbers they released show 3 million people still logging in everyday. I think they did some bits very well. Some not so well. I guess I didn't really follow all the stuff above so I came into Destiny only with what I knew from the beta. Based on that it met my expectations as a loot grinding ARPG. I'm going to hang in because I think the Destiny we play in a year or 2 years time will be massively improved. Or yeah we'll all be playing something else. XD

I have to agree eightbitqueso, if this game is going to last 10 years they have to capture each fan and not have it dwindle. I play a few games, but, for the most part, I play Destiny.. for now.. but, if my attention is lost because the content isn't full and rich enough and the story isn't there, I may find another game that fills that void.. when that happens, marketing wise, it is harder to gain that player back than it would be to simply keep them happy and never have left. I've played about 50 hours of game.. finished the story in 15 hours with one warlock, if you think about most games these days.. the story mode is 50-60 and others boast over 120hours.. I think that is where Destiny has fallen short.. the story. hopefully the expansion packs coming out at Christmas time will fill in some of the story

I dont understand what people want. The game has been out for less than 2 months and people are logging somewhere between 60-100 hours easily. What game can really keep you THAT engaged for that amount of time? What game has that much story?

I guess the bef is that more was expected at the time of release.. more of a story.. while it is very likely to be coming in DLC and if it is a 10 year game great but, it just seemed to lack some of the meat on the bones at release time. That being said, I'm finally getting into coop play, PvP and whatnot which will keep me going til Christmas.. when the next DLC comes out. while I'm disappointed in the "what we got at release from what I expected" I have to say I love the game and find it amazing graphically, soundwise and will continue to support the game.
