Bungie keeps saying that they dont want there to be only one acceptable choice when it comes to gear, yet the only way to get to 30 is to have all raid armor (or one exotic). To me this is a contridiction. So yes, there should be more than one way to hit 30 rather it be the way the OP has come up with or a whole different alternative completely. There are plenty of things in Destiny that need to be addressed (Im not complaining, I love the game) and hitting level 30 is definitely one of them.
