Don't have the engrams, my main question was wether the gear would convert to the decrypting classes armor or the classes' armor who got the drop. Also getting you to comment only took 2 minutes, rather than taking the time to login to a character, get a drop, go to the tower, put the engram in the vault, switch characters and then get it out of the vault and decode it. That's 10 minutes of just loading screens.
