-EDIT 3- This list is not in any particular order. Far Cry was just the first thing on my mind when I was typing this, however, I am more excited for Warlords(my number 1) and SSB(my number 2). Take the list as a place holder and not a competition. 1-Far Cry 4 2-Grand Theft Auto 5-Next Gen 3-World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor 4-Assassin's Creed Unity 5-Assassin's Creed Rogue 6-Dragon Age:Inquisition 7-Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare 8-Super Smash Brother's-Wii U release 9-Little Big Planet 3 10-Tom Clany's: The Division Popular demand requires me to list an extra one. 11-Halo: Master Chief Collection. Sorry Bungie. Even if you only lose 5% to each game(and we know that won't be the case for WoW and CoD), that is 45% fanbase gone counting both Assassin's Creed games together. If you bump up the WoW to 15%(My guesstimate) and CoD to 25-30%(another guesstimate) that puts us at an estimated 75-80% playerbase reduction for the next 2 months. My real question is how many people will stay with those games without returning to Destiny? Another question I have is for those that already have the DLC purchased and return in December, will you leave the game if the new content is just rehashed old content as the Queen's bounty was? -EDIT- If I forgot a game, list it below. Keep in mind we are going to December. Nothing for early next year please. -EDIT 2- Do we count the "You forgot a game!!!" choice as a yes,no, or neither? Haha -EDIT 4- Never said people can't enjoy the game or play more than one title at a time. However, less time dedicated to the game will hinder the amount of gameplay which in turn show's a decline in interest. If the trend is starting at earlier than 2 months after release while there are no other game's to fully compete with at the moment, what will it be like in the next month or two? What about between expansions when even more games come out? Please do not get off topic and think I am saying you are limited to one game at a time. Let's show at least one post a bit of maturity. Also, these numbers have been stated to be my predicted estimates. No where did I say these were fact and concrete. Stop digging people, come on. Wow, 413-Yes and 414-No as of 4:25 P.M. Est. If that isn't 50% I don't know what is.

  • Yeah I agree. A video game's fanbase always drops when a game of similar genre comes out. The only games I saw on your list that I believe actually belong there are FC4, the Division, Halo, and CoD. Each of these games are shooters, and we already have people here that are CoD fanboys or long time Halo vets; and then we have the people who want to try out the Division (I want to try it out too). Do I believe this will break Destiny? Of course not. People spend money on stupid shit. I mean, AC and CoD have been out for forever, so they'll play it because it's new. Destiny will gain a crowd when it gets new content too; it's inevitable. I love Destiny, but it's just a flavor that's popular right now... Because no other flavors are actually available in terms of shooters. But I don't think 45% of the gamers on here will leave for good, that's silly. But a decent amount of people will leave, and hopefully this community sorts itself out and becomes what it was during the Beta.
