Next year destiny's community will plummet with the release of games like planetside 2, Star Wars battlefront, mass effect 4, and no mans sky. Destiny will only have a few thousand people on it by that point

It does look amazing. It is coming out for pc as well as well as xbox probably later though. Because they only have a small team

I hope it comes out for Xbox to save me the cash for buying a ps4 though I also wanna play the new uncharted and any possible last of us sequel

They have been saying the same about WoW since every other MMO out there was announced and released. Close to 8m people are still playing AND paying a subscription for it. Doom threads are beyond lame.

I've been playing WoW since beta and have to say yes, people have been saying this stuff for years. However, WoW has time behind it, it has numbers behind it. Even right now, with WoW being at it's lowest ever, it still has 7.4 million players. That is more than twice Destiny at it's peak. The reason that after sticking with WoW for so long and believing that Destiny is going to lose it's playerbase is because this game is less than 2 months old and is already starting to dwindle down, and my 50% prediction is agreed with from over 1000 people so far. Many other games like Age of Conan and Defiance used the "They said this about WoW" defense and it failed for them regardless. Pretty much you have to take World of Warcraft as a being in and of itself, it was a rare gem and still is, it has defied what normal games go through within their lives, Destiny is too young to try to follow in their footsteps with playerbase drops and surges.

I don't care what numbers you throw at me buddy, just because let's be generous and say 5000 came here and clicked a poll in favor of YOUR opinion, doesn't make anything you say a fact. It's as simple as that. That was mostly what my reply was about. The point remains. Doom threads were, are, and will always be lame. They are lame when it comes to WoW, and they are lame when it comes to Destiny, and pretty much any other game out there. You have absolutely no way of knowing when the active player base of Destiny will drop 50% (yet of course it will fluctuate in the future, for good or for bad, that's a given with games of this nature) Relax. You hate the game and think it will fail, we get it. But after all it's said and done, you're still pulling random numbers out of your ass (like you have any true way of knowing what % of the player base will go to Unity, or Warlords, or CoD) and calling them fact :)

I was agreeing with the fact there are always doom threads, if you think they are lame, I fail to see why you wanted to come view this post. I never said I knew 50%. I predict and estimate, if you read the full post you would see that clearly stated. I don't hate the game. I actually enjoyed what content it has very much. I never stated any of the numbers were concrete but you want to read outside of the lines and see threat and hate where there is none. People like you are the ones that will eventually lead your own favorite games community downhill because noone likes to talk to someone who puts words into other's mouths.

Yeah but destiny was a disappointment to anyone who got it. The only thing bringing me back is xur every weekend which I can get what I want from him in a few hours

Destiny was a disappointment to the people who thought it was going to be the best game ever made, others had more realistic feelings.

No well it was the best game ever. You could go as far as Europa or Titan. The story was as immersive as mass effect. The game was massive. Then in the last 8-9 months of production they were told to cut it down. So they cut it down to what it is now. Destiny could have been that game you never take out of your console.

Because throwing around the word "everyone" automatically makes it so, right? I was not dissapointed by it, neither were my friends. The content right now is limited, sure, and it has it's share of flaws, I completely agree. But then again, I don't ride hype trains, so my expectations of it were pretty realistic. The foundation is solid enough for me to enjoy it, and keep playing it while they sort the problems out. Don't generalize, it's not cute.

Haha. Yeah we moved a few years ago and when we came back we took the ps2 out of storage and all the games which brang back a lot of memories.
