it's just funny to think about what's acceptable for ppl to buy and what is not people won't pay 20 or 30 bucks for a dlc that they can play whenever but will spend that much going to see a 2 hour movie... what? lol

You speak the truth my friend but I think what's missing from your analysis is where is your money better spent. Other games exist and they offer DLC as well. If Destiny's DLC offering is lackluster then most folks will just put their money and time into another game that better suits their entertainment. It's not a matter of not being able to afford it but rather being able to get better value elsewhere. I actually haven't bought any DLC for this year as I wanted to try out Destiny and decide later where I'll be spending the majority of my time. Since my other game hasn't released yet that decision is still in the air but after I've given both games some time to prove themselves, I'll either get the DLC for one or both if I find myself splitting time evenly. If I only get one games DLC then, I'll take that other $40 and spend it on something else that I want.
