I think it needs a little boost to the range but only because its unique perk says it's supposed to when aiming. I don't really feel that there's much of an increase in range. I will say that it helps if you kick your aim sensitivity up to 9 [What I use] or 10 so you can quickly turn in tight spaces.
If Bungie nerfs the range on Universal when they nerf the rest of the shotguns then they'll have a riot because what's the point of having a primary shotgun after that?

That's exactly what I was thinking. When I'm aiming I don't notice much of a change to the range. And honestly if they do need it in other storing this thing away in my vault until they buff it, or I'm dismantling it.

Edited by Rumormill: 10/20/2014 3:18:06 PMIt's only really useful in Control and certain Strikes. I love it, it's my favorite weapon I have so far [working on leveling MIDA Multi Tool to see if I like that as well] but I wish it had a little more range.
