I really hate saying this, but even if the DLCs are massive....this game won't last a decade with its current model. If Bungie want longevity out of a game and a community that will help them achieve that goal then they're gonna have to so their homework.
- Take poles (simply - what do gamers want?)
- Product Research (games that have made it that long and what was the determining factor.)
- Do they want the up front dollar or the decade long lasting income?
- how are they going to CHANGE the game over the years? (Change has to happen sometimes or things get old and die)
- Decide what is and isn't a bug and give it a hierarchy in a list of issues to solve.
- CUSTOMIZATION - people want to feel unique....give them the opportunity. If at the end of every DLC everyone looks the same with the exception of shaders then this will get old quicker than you know.
Please feel free to add to the list.

Poll, not pole. There is no deciding what is or isn't a bug. That would be like saying "decide what is or isn't fruit."

He didn't say poll he said pole. Learn to read scrub.

I'm thinking some of the people making big decisions at Bungie and Activision need to be taking "poles" as well. So, it may have been a Freudian slip but still accurate lol.

Edited by WarjackPrime: 10/20/2014 2:39:46 PMLongevity comes from identifying with your toon. The MMO players are the ones that will keep this game going, and we need content. The only other game I've ever played for a long time is World of Warcraft. It's also the only other currently relevant (still going strong with many players) game that's lasted 10 years. Why? Partly because players have put so much into their toons it's not that easy to walk away from. They have massive constant content for the most part but they also have a subscription model. I'd be happier with less content that you pay for as it comes out though so Destiny's current plan is probably a good way to go. So I agree with you. We need more customization options and we need to be able to change and update our toons like we did when we first created them.
