Warlocks are the weakest class: do not play warlock (due to ARMOUR PERKS)

[b]When you start playing Destiny, your best bet is to make titan or hunter. Warlocks always end up weaker, [u]because the armor available to them is nowhere near as good[/u] as what other classes can equip.[/b] * For example, take the chest slot. My co-op buddy bought the [url=http://destiny.wikia.com/wiki/The_Armamentarium]Armamentarium[/url] titan chest armor from Xur at the weekend. This is clearly the most overpowered piece of gear in the game, and anyone can have it because Xur sells it: - Have TWO GRENADES!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Carry MORE ROCKETS!! - Carry countless extra sniper or shotgun rounds [b]Why don't warlocks have anything like that? Nothing for that class comes even close. This makes the game severely unbalanced. Players who make a titan character instead of a warlock character have a substantial advantage in every situation.[/b] * Another obvious example is the boot slot. Why the lack of exotic boots for the lock class? [b][url=http://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/2hv5xl/here_are_all_the_exotic_armor_pieces_sorted_by/]Exotic boots are available for all classes, -- but not for warlocks![/url][/b] Why? This results in less armour choice for warlocks and a net lack of perks obtained from armour. Titans get exotic boots. Hunters get exotic boots. Warlocks were overlooked. Bungie clearly put a lot of thought into titans and hunters, but self-evidently overlooked warlocks resulting in numerous disadvantages and oversights facing the class which all need to be addressed at some point. I have checked all available armor for each class. It's confirmed: warlocks have the worst gear. I don't mind there being great armor for other classes. What I do mind is that there is nothing that comes close for locks. Destiny was supposed to be a game in which one class does not have an advantage over the others. That is not the case, mainly due to unbalanced gear. Forget the negligible 1% buff or nerf that Bungie applies to weapons.to improve balance. Look at the huge difference between gear available to different classes. I dearly hope Xur has [url=http://destiny.wikia.com/wiki/Voidfang_Vestments]Voidfang Vestments[/url] again this weekend. I didn't have enough coins for it the previous week, after buying Ice Breaker. I genuinely needed to buy IB when it was sold, because [url=http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/73153066/0/0]having played every day since day 1 I have literally never had any legendary or exotic weapon drops -- not even one[/url]! By comparison, my co-op buddy plays the same games as I do but and gets so much gear he has to shard it to clear space in his vault. Players who get drops don't know how lucky they are. When they switch weapons they are upgrading three weapons as they play. I have to waste kills on upgraded weapons until I save to buy a weapon from Xur or a Vendor. My co-op buddy doesn't usually buy charity handout gear from Xur, because he doesn't have to due to always getting drops, but I really do need it. EDIT:[b] This is a post about the imbalance of GEAR between classes. Nascent class balance is a more complex issue beyond the scope of this thread. [/b]However, the classes are well balanced in this game. If that were not so Bungie would have addressed that before the minor weapon balancing that we are seeing.

  • Our gear for warlocks is garbage for the most part I agree. But I can put on whites and still have more fun, can survive better than almost any hunter. When I go Sun singer my Sunbreaker gauntlets combined with ignition dot damage and self rez essentially breaks crucible

Gear is seriously imbalanced, and warlocks have basically been overlooked when Bungie was creating armour in this game. Armour for titans and hunters have been created with good balance between these two classes, yet with no counterpart available for locks. Clearly, very few Bungie devs and managers play lock. Who can blame them? They are at a great disadvantage. If Bungie staff rolled lock characters, they'd be aware of the issues and would have addressed these huge imbalances before tweaking weapons by 1%.

          Warlocks excels with their powers and not their guns. As a warlock, you need to be in search for armors thats boosts the recharge time of your powers and not worry about ammo. I suggest that you look for armor that speeds up the recharge time of your super and grenade. Regarding 2 grenades, the Sunsinger have a skill that gives the guardian a secondary grenade. In addition, sunsingers can also revive after dying on their own. In terms of armor, I have acquired all Raid Gear for my Warlock which increases ammo for my heavy and special weapons significantly. The armors boosts my intellect by 86% faster recharge for my super, and my stength by 74% faster recharge for my melee. If you haven't done the VOG Raid, then I suggests buying armor from the Vanguard, Crucible, Faction sellers or Xur. From what I've noticed, Titans are just much more resilient. PVE: As a Warlock, if you're playing as a Sunsinger which is firebased, try equipping weapons with Arc and Void damage. I have the Atheons Epiligue Auto Rifle for primary (Void dmg), or The Devil You Know Hand Cannon (even though its not an elemental, but it can kill any shieldless enemy with 1-2 shots, The Fate Bringer Hand Cannon (Arc Damage), and the Vex Mythoclast Fusion Rifle (Special that can be equipped as a PRIMARY-Fire Damage); Plan C Fusion Rifle (Arc Damage), or Light/Beware (Void Damage); Gjallarhorn RL (Non Elemental but very OP), Hezen Vengeange RL (Fire Damage), Thunderlord MG (Arc Damage), Corrosive Measure MG (Void Damage). Its also best that you max out damage outputs with your guns. It helps out with the VOG Raid and Weekly Nightfall, and OP for everything else. See ya around destiny!!! PS: There are no EXOTIC boots as of yet. Weekend Nightfall guarantees a legendary or exotic drop as a reward for beating it, and if you happen to be one of the unlucky ones that gets an ascendant shard or energy, Nightfall do gives you 11 of it. Weekly Heroic lvl 28 gives you 9 Strange Coins. When decrypting blue or purple engrams try having more than five at a time. From experience, I have received legendaries from blues, also motes of light and strange coins too.

          • Just by reading your first part of this I find you to be an idiot.. Warlocks have an ability to carry 2 grenades, the chest I have let's me carry more heavy and the arms I have let me carry more special.

          • Warlocks have a chest that let you carry more heavy ammo, and raid arms let you carry more special. They also have sun singer having a perk to carry two grenades, and amazing gear like heart of the praxic Fire, voidfang, and skull of dire ahamkara. Warlocks are fine. I use both hunter and warlock and like my warlocks exotic options better. Hunters best piece has got to be the fourth gunslinger which is also useless a lot. I use lucky raspberry for that heavies boost however. Every class will have ups and downs, and everyone will have room to complain. Also, the warlock boots haven't been mentioned yet, it hasn't been clearly stated that there won't be any. Besides, who's going to use exotic boots? Higher jump height? Lol

            It's been said, but warlocks have a 2-grenade skill. Titans don't. Armamentarium just evens that piece if the puzzle. Warlocks also have the long range hand wave of doom. That, + 1 pull of the trigger on almost any gun, spells doom in PvP. Interesting post about the "gear equality." I wish I was more educated on their options... I do see that you targeted their gear and not the class itself. Well done.
