How many people here are stuck at lvl 29, and still loving the game? (explain why..)
I've been stuck at lvl 29 for 3 weeks now.. If I don't get my damn raid gaunlets in my 3 runs next week I'm going to start losing faith. In a month we'll have AC: Unity, Far Cry 4, and DA: Inquisition.. also Shadows of Mordor is looking decent, and CIV: Beyond Earch comes out in 4 days.. I don't know if the grind'll be worth it.
I'd love to hit lvl 30 before December.. maybe I'll just raid 3 times a week and then play something else..
What do you guy think of the lvl 29 grind?

Im 29 and dont care about 30. Theres no point. Got my raid arms, i'll raid once a week, dont really care. Its just another finish line i'll be crossing, looking back like why did i do that so fast. If im guna make this game last til December (and then some) then im not guna rush through it just to get some extra defense and light. It'll happen eventually, just cant let anxiousness consume you. This is why people are bored of this game already, they've put one goal out, completed it, and are now aimless. I respect the 30s who still find the game entertaining after that. But most people ive seen (on forums) are just done after 30. Lame

Especially if you only made one class just to max yourself out. I'm fine being level 29, it means my game isn't over yet but I can still do anything. I'm fine having alt characters that are other classes because I like to switch it up. I want to get all the guns, find all the exotics and cool legendaries, participate in the events even if I suck at them (iron banner). Overall I am fine being level 29 because at the end of the day I can say I did more actual playing than grinding (they are one and the same, especially in this game, it depends on how you look at it). I understand some people live for the grind, and those classic RPGers are okay in my book, but that's just not me. Extra bonus, at level 29 there's still some variety to how your guardian looks! At 30 it's just all the same gear with maybe an exotic thrown in.

Ive been lvl 29 for sometime now, and honestly I'm fine with it. Would love to get to 30 at one point, but I enjoy playing crucible once in awhile, tiger strikes, weeklys and the raid. I'll run the raid multiple times with people just to have fun. That what it's about, having fun.

1 ReplyOnce I hit 30 there will be no point in playing until DLC. Only reason I play so much now is there's no other new games I like. Otherwise I'd spend much less time on this game.

I'm 29, not even trying for 30. I've got the raid helmet, so the "hard" part is out of the way, but between rng and no matchmaking I just can't get motivated for the raid.

4 RepliesOnly need either raid gauntlets or the raid helmet. Doesnt matter, i just love this game, even with all the flaws and complaints. Still got raid hard to beat for the first time, so there's that. Then upgrading my current weapons, there's still more exotics I want, crucible is fun every now and then. Then there's my friends that I like to play with and help them out, same goes for friends on my friendslist or just randoms I meet along the way. We also got 3 classes we can level and play as, each with their own playstyle. To be honest, I don't see how people can complain about that there's nothing to do.

Done it 3 times normal full and twice hard atheon checkpoint, two pieces of gear, two sparrows, 3 shaders, raid sniper and LMG and vex mythoclast.....not too bad

I also play other games so I don't get burned out on any one thing. Balance and moderation my friends is a good path for longevity of any game.

I now have a lvl 29 warlock and a lvl 29 hunter. still love them both. i play bounties, dailys, weeklys and 1 raid a week with each character. We are trying to set a lvl 30 RAID team but some of my friends still need to reach lvl 28 or 29 to make this possible. i hear you thinking, it's that all? nope im currently helping other players with there leveling because a singel Guardian is just dust in de wind. we need more strong Guardians to defeat the darkness so i will make sure i will help them were needed. so when everybody is still asleep, studying or working i'm leveling my titan til he also reach lvl 29 or 30 offcourse. i'm living de story again and now i keep my ears open because i have seen almost every grimoire card so i can make links and understand the story better. i'm making a Dutch storyguide ( sorry for all you english people, but i'm not so good at english as you know by now. )and what we could expect to get in the DLC's. My friends like this background so the don't have to read the Grimoire cards. they call me the librarian. so i'm still loving this game, and i think the story is great and will be greater. i now have the last of us and first light. waiting for bf4 dlc, ac:u and dragon age, but i don't have time yet because i'm playing destiny alot.

just turned 29, need two pieces of raid gear so ill begin doing the vault every week and go from there. i dont feel stuck yet, but we'll see how the RNG gods treat me..

I've had the problem of getting shit from raid, have 90 ascendant shards and one piece of raid gear, I've done the raid every week(5). Not on hard, can never find a group good enough, now this game is making me flaccid...

1 ReplyBeaten the raid 4 times over 4 weeks. Got gloves and boots still waiting on my raid chest but I also received atheons epiloge and vision of confluence so I can't complain.

Played the raid twice so far and not a morsel of raid gear. Only weapons.

Of course when new games like Farcry 4, MGS V:TPP, Fallout 4 (if it ever comes out lol), and BF:Hardline comes out I will take a hiatus from Destiny. I will most definitely be back because I presume Destiny is like a fine wine and ages well.

Would play the PvP a ton more to compensate, but needs real competitive modes....not just this casual pub stuff... Played a half dozen pub games last night and mostly were one-sided slaughters (worst begin a 10k - 1k victory), the only game I lost was by 100 points and by then I was knackered (as getting late)... Either I have to play on my own with random noobs to get a challenge or the rare chance of finding decent opposition...(the former being unacceptable as this is a social game)

28 close enough? Tbh I'm not fussed about level or gear, I'll still play as long as I'm having fun and let them come to me. I've always got something to do, wrapped up in outstanding shooting mechanics.

I personally dont care about getting to lvl 30. Don't get me wrong I have a shit ton of shards saved up for when I get some raid gear. But atm lvl 30 means nothing. Might help in hard raid but certainly not required. Does nothing in iron banner where level means nothing. Does nothing in crucible or any other pve mode. Ya, it does nothing... dont get me wrong I wish lvl 30 benefitted users in some way...
