I like reading the hate posts then looking up the poster and seeing they have 100+ hours of playing.
It's like the people who order food, eat all of it, then demand their money back.
Typical trash.

Edited by PinkEyedLycan: 10/20/2014 2:34:02 AMHa ha. You funny. If we are going with this metaphor then hows about this: I got served my food and the waiter stood over me. Opened up my burger and showcased a small but appetising burger, then spits on it and gleefully rubs it in and says "eat it and enjoy" so I reluctantly eat it and found it distasteful and frankly unfilling. Then give me the same order over and over again. Theres destiny for ya
-
Your logic is lacking....
-
You still bought it and ate it. Why would you after witnessing that?
-
You're not forced to play Destiny and they didn't demand that you buy their game.
-
But I did because I believed in them and unfortunatley it was not up to par to what I know of bungies potential. It hurts me to shit on them but this game is not good. It has great GREAT mechanics such as the gun play and the classes but compared to other competitors such as borderlands and diablo they don't even reach as high. So I don't hate destiny. I'm disapointed

Edited by stompsabout: 10/20/2014 2:12:58 AMI don't know what burger joint you eat at but I always get the whole burger with my purchase, not a cube cut out of it.

And then if they hadn't played a substantial amount of the game, you say that they had no grounds to stand on when complaining about the game. The majority of Destiny players acknowledge that the game is bad, yet still admit that there is an addictive feature in the game; Destiny has je ne sais quoi. A comparison made to crack addiction and playing Destiny wouldn't be an untrue one.

Exactly what I'm saying, ppl put 200 hours Into a game that's only been out for a month. You can't do that without loving it. You wanted to be the best as fast as possible. Either to keep up, or be the best. Some say it's a shell of a game yet you have hundreds of hours into the shell alone. Did you expect over 1000 hours of gameplay on the initial launch? Get serious haters

I could put up with all the other crap, if only it had a story that was as immersive as halo. Plus the level design could be so much better. The first level gives me that awesome nostalgic feeling of playing the first halo all those years ago, yano with all the lights falling, enemies popping out of the ground and crawling around ceilings, it felt natural and really helps suck the player into the game. But after that first mission it fell apart, I know the same amount about the story now as I did when the beta was on. why should I read about it, I want detailed cinematics The story is the main reason I play games.

People put way more into heroin addictions. Time spent isn't the same as timed earned. You idiots also don't notice that nobody's "spouting hate," they're making valid criticisms of the problems the game has. That doesn't require that someone hates something. It's stupid to think that it does. If your girl tells you to do the dishes, does that mean that she wants to split up?
-
Wait... I don't understand the argument here? If they didn't play at all would their opinion be any more credible?
-
However, if their points are correct, it shouldn't matter how long they've played the game.
-
Edited by ColdAtrophy: 10/20/2014 2:01:11 AMBingo. The people who use this "but you played XXX hours of the game so you aren't entitled to a negative opinion" must have some kind of predetermined number of hours in their head that allows a person to have an opinion that they disagree with. I've seen the flip side of the argument too where people say "you haven't played it enough to be able to form a proper opinion".
-
Haha.... so deluded, get out more. I honestly believe 8hrs playing a game will definitely tell you where your heading, if you believe the whole reach lvl 20 its a completly different game, you deserve to be disappointed.
-
What are you talking about? I was commenting on the fact that people can't seem to make up their mind about how long justifies a negative opinion. I wasn't stating my own beliefs about the game at all.
-
I believe if someone say's and I quote 'this game is trash' or 'thanks for making me waste 60 bucks' and other negative and useless comments, and the have xxx No. Of hrs played (xxx= minimum 100 hrs gameplay) I truly believe your statement is pointless. Helpful criticism is key to making a better experience for everyone, especially from hardcore gamers like yourself. But useless trash talk bugs my chi! Especially from.... hardcore gamers.
-
Edited by ColdAtrophy: 10/20/2014 9:03:09 PMYou assume that the prerequisite statement before "The people who use this "but you played XXX hours of the game so you aren't entitled to a negative opinion" " had to be pointless trashtalk. I don't do that. I have also seen well thought out criticism (not just in this game) received poorly by fanboys and turned into "you have played too much to say the game isn't great". You also assume that negative opinions of the game cannot be constructive. Your replies have been real head scratchers. It took me a minute to understand why you were saying the things you are. I think you are making too many assumptions.
-
I sympathetically apologise to your lack of aptitude to understand where I am coming from. The whole point of that thread is about trash talk......... not constructive criticism from player's who have wasted six weeks of their lives in a game. When I see someone trash talk this game, If they have a stupid amount of play time, I really want to scream 'dont contradict yourself! You absolute pleb!' At their face.
-
Edited by ColdAtrophy: 10/20/2014 9:29:41 PMI initially replied to this specific statement, not the thread:
However, if their points are correct, it shouldn't matter how long they've played the game.
Don't talk down to me like I cannot understand what you are saying because it's just too far above my level of thinking. You have no idea who you are talking to. I'm not special, but I'm not an idiot and I don't appreciate being treated like one. Get over yourself. That said, your response to my comment was that I was "deluded". However, we seem to be talking about two different types of scenarios. One involves a person having played over a hundred hours and stating simply "this game sucks" and the responses to that being "you played too much to say bad things about the game". The other scenario, which I have seen just as often over the years on gaming forums, is a person saying negative, yet constructive things and being met with the same responses, mainly due to fanboys being incapable of simultaneously liking a game and recognizing its' flaws. You seem to be missing my point entirely in favor of assumptions and one view. Do you even objectivity?
-
Ok your right I don't know who I am talking to and I am sorry for belittling you. Sometimes I get abit ahead of myself with my personal opinions ob subjects. I see I have frustrated you and for that I do apologise. I have obviously grabbed the wrong end of the stick, I agree that if someone has a point negative/positive they are entitled to it, no matter how long they have played.
-
Thank you for being decent.
