• you left "entitlement" and "gratification" out. These to me, are the main elements within this equation. I really hate to sound like a "get off my lawn" type of guy, but the younger generation really needs to learn a word called patience. This game is no where near perfect, but what game is so soon after release?

 • Most games are also better at launch. We already paid for the game, which should be completed up purchase, no? I'm not part of the "younger" generation, and I'm still disappointed. Some things can be boiled down to a sense of entitlement(I believe the whole mass effect 3 debacle is a good example), but this is not that. This game didn't deliver on most of its promises, so when the game released(and people payed for the game they expected), people were stunned to discover a different game completely. A lesser game. So reactions to this are expected, and in many ways, justified. Does that mean people should just rant without any constructive feedback? No. In fact, most people here could use a bit more compassion in their posts. But please don't blame a younger generation for the criticism bungie is receiving, blame the product they released compared to the one the advertised.

 • In all honesty, i am not trying to blame anyone. I have seen grown men act worse than a five year old. The blatant truth is, that much of the footage they showed to us was from along time ago, many people don't understand that things change. And many people took it upon themselves to think that a build from a year ago would be slapped on something sold today. Was it shady on bungies part to swap so much around without saying anything? Sure. But, that is a right that they can exercise. To call this a incomplete game is ignorance at it's finest, as most have received their money's worth. I will have to continue to believe that the impatient "kids" and /or "adults " are still the root of the problem here.

 • Agee 100%! I'm very disappointed with the game and feel like a lot of Bungie's decisions were just lazy. That being said I did get my monies worth. Very hard to explain but there are aspects of the game that are fun even while overall being a mediocre at best game.

 • Getting hyped is with each individual. There was a beta and alpha (only played beta at a friends) and from what I see they kept their promises. You can't watch a year old trailer and say he that's not in the game anymore. During development they might have thought it wouldn't work as good as they intended.

 • While what you say is true to a point they put out info (cinematic experience) close to release that was untrue. Some over-hype is the individuals fault but it was helped along by Bungie.
