I really don't see how the Atheon fix takes away the strategy at all. You say that everyone has to know their role, and how does that change now? Everyone still has to assume a role whether they will be sent through time or not. If it was like this from the start, no one would have complained. There will be strategies out on how to do this the best possible way in no-time. I'd say get over it and adjust.

  • There are people who know how to use the relic and use it well, they are the ones that will pick it up every time they are transported, if someone in your group is like that then you don't k use it very often and therefore don't know how to use it as well. Their role was the relic person and they planned for it. Now the person who used to be on the relic all the time might not get transported at all and three others who have never picked it up before might go instead. It's very annoying when someone who doesn't know how to properly use the relic picks it up. And similarly people have the weapons that do more damage to oracles, if they are part of the usual transport team to quickly take them out, but now don't get transported then what was the point. It was their role before to take out the oracles quickly but now that perk is useless during the Atheon fight if they don't get transported

  • Well, first of all, you don't need extra damage in oracles to complete it. It's not a must. Maybe in hard mode, but that just means everyone has to have bonus damage to oracles, why is that a problem? I understand that someone had the specific role of picking up the relic. But I don't see why no one else should learn that role. It's a poor, lazy excuse to not learn that role. I decided to pick it up once, without knowing anything about it (it was my second raid), and I learnt it in no-time. Just learn the damn role, how hard can it be?

  • You don't need the extra damage, but if that was your role to get through the transports faster then it helped. Why wouldn't you want the guys with Atheon's Epilogue or something shooting at the oracles instead of just a regular legendary? The problem is that not everyone has those weapons, so they can't do the bonus damage that others would be able to. It's not hard to learn the new roles, but it's also annoying when you get picked at random to have to learn how to use it so you don't wipe in the middle of fighting Atheon. Not everyone will figure out how to use it well the first time they pick it up which means they can screw up that attempt, and it'd be harder to learn if you don't get the chance to pick it up every time and try it out. There are teams who have everything mapped out how they want it to be and have their roles pre-planned. Bungie even said before that they wanted it to be that you would have certain roles that you would fill out during the raids and to have it planned out. Why would they make it so that at the final boss those roles and planning went out the window to RNG

  • They said there will be certain roles, and there still are even when it is RNG. You just have to have more roles to cover up everything. Didn't you find it all very easy in the end? I'm talking about normal mode. Don't you think it was extremely easy once everyone knows theit exact role? To me it felt like it should not have been that easy anyway.

  • I did think it was easy, but that's what repetition does. Things get easier as you do them over and over again and you learn all the ins and outs of it. But that doesn't mean they need to change it up so that roles can change every time a transport happens. It hasn't taken long for people to start easily beating their hardest challenge. I wish they had more stuff to do like the raid because I think it's the most fun and interesting part of the game. Instead we only got one that people have now beaten only using 3 guys. Without other big end game content of course people are going to find the raid easy, it's one of the few things left to do.

  • Do us a favor and once the patch goes live, take people who are new to the raid in hard mode and show us how easy it'll be.

  • Well, that is a stupid thing to say.. Hard mode id not meant for people who are new to the raid. Raiding is endgame content and hard mode is even more so. It is the hardest thing there is in the whole game. Why would you try that when you are new to raiding? That is simply a stupid thing to do. People should prepare themselves experience-and gear wise by doing normal mode raids first.

  • Lol you say it like normal prepares you either way. Hard mode is long and tedious and annoying as hell. It took us a while to realize that level 30s should be the only ones touching the relic as they deal the most damage. Making the switch from normal to hard is a whole new ball game and people new to hard raid will get their butts handed to them a lot!!!

  • At least you know the mechanics. And if you really have to be level 30, that can be acquired by playing normal raids.

  • I know but dude the randomizing will keep you in there even longer. Getting past the gate keepers is a challenge. Took us 4 hours to find the right strategy( different strategies for different teams). Can you imagine taking Atheon to his last sliver and then the lowest 3 29s get teleported? The minotaurs in there will OHK them every time.
