"But I want to do the fight the same way every single time and then complain that it's too repetative"
Is what you all sound like.
Am I the only one that likes the idea of having the mechanics of fights change to keep things fresh?
English

went fully through it three times now with three different strategies ...
-
No you're not. I like this idea and I'm looking forward to the challenge.
-
we complain that its repetitive because its the ONLY -blam!-ING WAY TO GET ARMOR SO YOU CAN GET TO LEVEL 30 AND YOU HAVE TO DO IT TWICE A WEEK ON NORMAL AND HARD AND FOR SOME GOD FORSAKEN REASON YOU CANT DO IT ANY MORE BECAUSE THIS WAS A GAME MADE FOR THE MOBILE PLATFORM

Edited by LiMac25: 10/19/2014 2:43:18 AMbut even if they change it, itll really only mean that all 6 people will have to know how to be both inside the portal team killing oracles/relic holder and outside opening the portals up team for the first team... then it'll just be the same repetitive fight every single time ie. it'll be briefly new if they change it and then the same over and over. i think people forget this is raid #1 out of however many they plan to do and things will probably vary a bit in the future content
-
perfect answer, instead of making the enemy smarter they just make things random, hoping to have a harder raid afterwards ...
-
You aren't alone, I'm all for a more challenging fight.
-
It's not the more chalk aging fight its the fact that it makes pre fight strategizing pointless
-
Not at all, pre strategy and planning will be a lot more important. You have to set 4 relic carriers. You also have to be ready to send one from the outside into the portal to help out if a weak 3 gets sent in.
-
That's not true. Already been discussing a strategy with clan mates that should work just fine and won't be much different when we beat him with the random teleport bugs we get all the time.
-
Urf dont remind me of those teleport bugs. I'd rather they fix that before altering the teleportation. But hey ho, maybe they havent worked out how to fix it... bleh.
-
Ohhhhh. I wonder. Could it just be that you babies are calling the wrong thing "the bug"? Could it be that it was always supposed to be random but something went wrong? Everyone is always looking for the easiest, most convenient method. I realize that the loot system needs work but this willful ignorance isn't helping.

Edited by Bieltan: 10/21/2014 12:51:21 PMRemind me of the part where I said I didnt want the teleportation to change? Just as an FYI I have previously stated elsewhere that I appreciate it adding an extra layer of challenge. What I meant was that I'd rather they first fix an out and out bug where you dont teleport back into the boss room properly. That can quite often result in a wipe when it happens.
-
That's with people you run the raid with constantly when you play with a group of new raiders you can't have them do easier roles while they watch to learn the mechanisms or if you have a group that's half geared up to clear the harpies and keep the portals open and the other half set up for the portals and they get mixed then your losing a major strategic advantage
-
Because its impossible to talk to each other before you go into a fight... This eliminates people being carried through without enough gear and forces people to learn the whole fight
-
No you are not the only one. I think this is a neat idea and actually improves the raid (though I confess I have only played raid on normal, but am getting ready to brave hard mode). As it stands, half the team has to waste a bunch of time running away so that they are the furthest away, rather than focusing on taking down the boss. Now, the team has to be able to adapt to each cycle, only improving its overall skill and teamwork. Just my opinion, of course. Other opinions are perfectly valid, but I personally like this change.
-
Yea that's how I see it. Adds a whole new element to the fight. I can see having one guy from the outside needing to run in to help take out oracles and adds if it's a weak 3 inside.
-
No one said anything about complaining about it being repetitive. I love it. The new system they're making is bullshit. I play a lot of dungeons in GW2 and they are very similar to the raids in this game. And they don't just change mechanics for the hell of it just because players have figured out how it works. Everyone finds a role that they're good at and stick to it. For example, in Arah path three, I won't dare touch those light globes because I know my teammates do that part better than me.
