I have not complained about any changes to this game. - Loot Cave - okay, patch it (and you gave us a fun Easter Egg at that). - Gun nerfs/buffs - you guys know best, you can watch how we play and address what's needed to provide multiple alternatives with weapon selection in PVP. - Templar column - Even though I backed this as a "strategy", I only tried to help *one* group that insisted on it and my group has always had dedicated roles in that fight. We played the ground game and continue to do so, we're better and faster at it. - Atheon "baby bumpers" - Yes, please. They're not necessary when you have a good team who play well together and know roles that we have unanimously determined by preference and vote. I didn't support the bug that broke him. - Atheon's teleport behavior? - Please, Bungie, please. Most successful Raid teams have found that different members are better at different roles. This is a TEAM event. I, for one, am the dedicated Relic-holder for that fight. We've watched gameplay mechanics, we developed a system, a strategy, to break our group into two. Portal team does what needs to be done in the portals, and Gatekeeper team survives the hordes of suicidal Harpies, opens the necessary gate, and generally does the most damage to Atheon once Portal team is out, because we're busy getting ready to go back in again. [b]The Atheon teleport change will break not only our strategy, but most successful teams' strategies.[/b] The fight will be utter chaos. Not everyone plays the same role in a team - that's what makes a TEAM. If we could all perform the same roles, we'd be interchangeable. Why stay together? Our group dynamics are great and we all get along well, but the glitches in Atheon's fight were tough enough to get through without someone raging. The deaths of a single dedicated member alone can make the fight unwinnable. [b]We are using legitimate strategy there, Bungie.[/b] There is no unfair advantage, no taking advantage of unfair enemy behavior (some predictability is not a bad thing!), we just got our team 100% set [i]this week[/i]! Not everyone can be expected to perform the same in a team. We all have strengths and weaknesses and that is part of what brings us together. [b]We fill in each other's gaps in playstyle to complete the group.[/b] Please rethink this Atheon patch. "Baby bumpers" are great. Make the community fight for their victory! But don't completely trash mechanics that aren't broken. I know six of me could not beat this Raid, nor could six of any other gamer I know. Level playing fields are great, but don't take away our individual strengths. Sorry for the long post.   • Well said, Bungie please please please do not change Atheons teleport behavior. As you said about the raid, it is a team effort. Where everyone is working together. The raid is doable when everyone knows their part. By making it so that he teleports completely random people you are breaking the raid. I spent 11 years in the Army, there was never a time when we would randomly say "ok you are the driver today, and you there, new guy, you are the gunner" everyone has their roles that they are trained for, you don't change them in the heat of battle. Sure if shit hit the fan, someone else would take over, but that is exactly how we do it in the raid. Only if someone else needs a revive do we change roles, but we assign someone, we don't let Atheons pick at random. By changing his teleport method, you turn a strategy based event that is only successful when everyone knows their part into chaos. If you want to fix teleporting, please address issues with the portals at the end sometimes flinging you backwards instead of back to Venus.

    Come on Bungie.......'till now i agree with every nerf.....yesterday we did the Raid for the 1st time. Tooks us 5h 10 Min to pass it. It was a lot of work to find out who is good in what and who has guns and a "goog" level for killing oracles fast enough...... Now it should be random ??? Wow that sucks..... The complete team based roles will be destroyed...... A football team has normally as well no player who can be put anywhere on the field...... And if you fix baby bumpers please do it for the players as well......Yesterday we've been pushed down the descend by harpies several times what really sucks that these little basterds can do this while they're coming in your back. instead of shooting.. Either anyone can push down anyone or nobody pushes nobody And please fix the teleport gates before adding random teleports (i'm sure you will not listen to the community and destroy the team play with that) that you're not "stuck" cause your going through it and still be "over there".......Gates are open and no enemies on control plates - 2 people can pass the gate and 1 stucks there........that happens a lot of times yesterday when Atheon was nearly down....... Don't misundestand that....you're doing a good job, but please keep an eye on some issues before you bring in "new stuff".

And wait, you can't beat the raid just because you are getting tossed inside portals at random? Anyone that has done Hard Mode before getting 30 will just laugh at this change.

  • Sorry, I don't like to exaggerate. Lets put it this way then... -- Anyone who has been farming Hard Mode. -- What I meant by it is that anyone that had a solid group capable of clearing Hard Mode pre-30 will have little trouble handling the change.

  • Hell, farming the hard mode is for guys who have maxed out all weapons and gear and have had the privilege of getting good drops early enough in the game to level it up. You guys are definitely a minority but I'm also not mad at your achievement I just cant wait to get there! Lol . As far as your comment yes I guess we all exaggerate at times, no worries.

  • One could say Hunter performs better at portals, and I wouldn't disagree. But any class can do any job at VoG.

  • I'm on that boat... I rather do what I'm more comfortable with too, and Ill probably perform better at it. We also have assignments, minor changes when we switch to alts (Im supplicants when Warlock and portals when Hunter). It looks like the change takes people out of the "comfort zone" and people are making such a big deal about it.

  • It amazes me that people complain about these changes so much. Auto rifles are still THE weapon and apparently the shingen and Galahad > any other forking weapon in the game. Screw exotic and legendary weapons, auto win with a green or blue shingen.

  • Well said. There is no need to randomise the teleport experience. Different ppl have different skills. Like mine is relic bearer because I kick ass at it. Others are better at taking out bad guys and nailing the boss.
