Basically you want the crucible to become the most effectiveve farm! The game & "reward" system already is heavily biased towards PvP. Don't push it!

 • I PVP heavily and it is far from the best reward system. I constantly get blue non-engram items or nothing at all, with maybe one orb of light per 3 hours of play. I would like to know how "The game & "reward" system already is heavily biased towards PvP". I'm not attacking you, I am legitimately curious.

 • 1 hour of matches in crucible gives you guaranteed blue stuff with the potential to be better (even exotic which is total bullsh) 1 hour of PvE guarantees nothing not even with a most agressive playstyle

 • blue stuff or blue engrams? As a level 29er... Blue stuff that is not blue "engrams" is useless. Maybe they need to have crucible rewards matched to your level more precisely. And I'm a PVP junky and I've never received an exotic. And only two purple engrams, one purple gauntlet, and one purple weapon that was an Iron Banner weapon that everyone was getting.

 • The crucible has the most chances at receiving exotics than any other form of gameplay. 12 min strikes are hard, and beside a lot of the crucible matches I'm in don't even go that long. I assume that's what he meant by that, and it is the truth unfortunately. I think it's balanced, because strikes whiling taking longer give guaranteed engrams and chances at exotics.

 • It's about the same for getting exotics as PVP. It's not like there's a higher chance for PVE. You just get more engrams from PVE and its a way better option if your trying to get gear. And the strikes are not that hard. If you struggle with them then that's sad. A level 24 strike is so easy to do and you get so many engrams. It's worth the 12 mins of playing compared to the 2 hours of crucible and getting maybe 6 engrams if your lucky

 • I have never received an exotic from PVP, and have only three people in my clan of 56 that have. Taking into account matchmaking times, menu times, and length of match, a crucible match takes roughly 10-15 minutes. Averaging rewards over a 12 match period (roughly an 3 hours of play), I receive 10 blue items, one blue engram, and one mote of light. Let's say a I do a daily, weekly, and nightfall. (15 min, 30 minutes, 1 hour respectively for a total of 1 hour and 45 minutes of PVE play). I would have received 5 blue items, 5 blue engrams, 1 purple engram, 1 exotic, 9 strange coins, 4 ascendant material. That is a huge difference in half the time. Now I know my proposition is till a little too reward heavy for PVP. I need to rethink it. Maybe cut it to AT LEAST one blue engram, but the rewards never seem to justify the time put in. Thanks for commenting!

 • I'm pretty sure when they made this game they envisioned it more around PVE. They said they wanted you to able to tell story's about how you got your weapons and gear. I can say I did the raid and got my gear and my kick ass sparrow. You want it to be like ya I just played crucible and got lucky and got some weapons! I don't think that's what they wanted. They want you to work for that shit. The nightfall isn't easy and it's worth the reward. And you can only do it once and get loots. If you want the same reward system put into crucible then everyone is gonna have all the gears and weapons and it would just be too easy. All you'd have to do is participate and you'd get strange coins and ascendant material. You wouldn't have earned anything

 • Great point! I do see how PVE does create that "tell a story" experience when getting items. I guess I feel that since Bungie pushes a lot of players into PVP for exotic bounties and crucible marks, there would just be more rewards. I know that I am going to have to do PVP at some point every week to have everything maxed out for the week, it just the way it's set up seems to make it more work than fun. I want to go into PVP saying" maybe I'll have a chance to get something awesome today, or at least when I'm finished I can turn in all these blue engrams and maybe my Cryptarch package will be awesome". But, alas, it just seems like work. I forgot about the whole "every item tells a story" thing. I think, for me, the mentality and atmosphere got lost in the many hot fixes, complaints, and slip ups that have happened since release. Thanks for Commenting!

 • Dude you used things that you can only do 1 time per week on two, and 1 time per day on another you have to use cyclical analogies. So strike playlist is like crucible its cyclical. Redo your analagy with it and you'll see the difference :)

 • That's all Bungie is giving me to compare since there is no "weekly" or "daily" events to do in crucible. If we look at my argument from a weekly standpoint, a person would have to play 21+hours of crucible a week to get similar rewards. It's still a gigantic time disparity. Thanks for commenting!

 • You argument is flawed, if you're going to argue something please do it objectively or at least try to do it objectively. I know these are just forums but come on man!
