Help Vanguard Gun Choice

Im debating on whether to buy the A.1F19X-RYL scout rifle or The Devil you Know hand-cannon. I know scout rifles got a 6% damage increase but I like how the devil you know has a huge magazine. Anyone know what I should choose? I already have Atheons Epilogue so Should I go for Pistol for multi or the scout?

  • The A.F1xxxx Vanguard scout rifle is a very solid purchase, but MY recommendation is The Devil You Know. That h3llacious hand cannon impact is complemented nicely by a 12 round chamber and an out-of-the-gate very respectable range & stability. Later, you get access to the Send It perk to further increase range & accuracy; that truck stopper in your paws now has range on par with any scout rifle. A touch of practice & you'll consistently drill insane damage crits from halfway across the map. (Personally I say skip the Field Scout perk...it's only adding one round, and there's nothing 13 rounds is gonna accomplish that 12 rounds won't). And I haven't even mentioned the value of Crowd Control... In short--TDYK is, from the vendor, a near best-in-class HC. The fact that everyone can undisputedly EARN it (Vanguard marks & rep) make it even better.

Kind of a personal preference I think. I prefer hand cannons, so I'd say TDYK. I can't really justify it other than to say I suck with scout rifles. I always scope, and I find the zoom on the scout rifles I've tried to zoom too much for close quarters.
