You cant get a refund from Bungie, thats between you and your retailer.

I don't really understand why it would be that way though. For any thing else you can always go through the manufacturer and get warranty on it. You have a broken microwave, you can contact LG. They will take care of it. Broken speakers, call Bose. Even Pepsi will send out coupons for a case of pepsi if it came with a damaged can. Every other medium supports their products. There is no support here. Even if it isn't Bungie's fault, it is there responsibility to make sure their product will work with no questions asked. I am a plumber and when I install a boiler I test every safety on that boiler to verify it is working condition before I leave it with the customer, that is my responsibility. If I would leave and safety's aren't working it could have catastrophic effects. Well same thing applies here. Repercussions aren't as severe, but they need to make sure their product works. There are many things I could have spent my money on and it irks me that companies think they can get away with this lackluster effort.

Plumbing and networking are very different, so bad comparison. Plumbing you can safety check and test because it is a cLosed system. Bungie isn't "getting away" with anything. Any online game has crashes. If you didn't realize that prior I purchase then it is your fault.

I'll agree they are different, but every industry has quality control. The fact that I have had no issues with any other games since I bought my ps3 shows that this is a Bungie issue. There is a difference between crashing and being unplayable. I cant even sign in, which I really don't think is "my fault".

It is not completely Bungies fault. what you have to understand is you can't test server stress until post release. It isn't just about volume of server use but also the location of user (so kind of your fault move. Just joking). There are also constant attacks by hackers. DDOS is horrible. I am not saying you shouldn't be angry, and if you attempt to return the game I hope you can. Just realize Bungie has Zero responsibility.

I'm starting to realize that they have zero responsibility. Like I said, i love the game. I just wish I could play it and that they would do more than just an internet forum. Like I said previously most other companies from other mediums go out of there way to try keep you happy. It doesn't make sense to me that game companies can do nothing and expect people to buy their games in the future. Bungie could have done numerous things better. Like admitting that there was an issue (not on a forum), having a proper customer support page, or give an eta on how long it would be to get the issue fixed. They really haven't done anything to make me want to stay loyal to them. If I go to a restaurant and get an undercooked piece of chicken, the thing that makes me decide if I go back to that restaurant is how they handle it. If they comp me, apologize and give me a new piece, I'll go back. If they give me a new piece, still charge full price and not even say sorry. Well, I don't think they will see me again. I feel like I was given raw chicken and billed full price.
I do agree they need to be more transparent. If you ever play league of legends, Riot though faulty is constantly explain why they are doing.
