  • I didn't convince you, huh? Well know this: There was supposedly a Warmind created for each of the planets with human colonies, Mercury wasn't one. Not sure if the reef had one for its mining operations. I don't think there were enough for nine, but who knows maybe the number is for something else.

  • You've seen the evidence....it's pretty clear the nine statements for the nine...where they come from what they have become, what they are doing..... I expect in later grimoires to get what they are going to be doing beyond this, which does not fit with your story, however well thought out it was

You're taking the information on the Grimoire cards at face value, while others are trying to read the meaning of the subtext and decipher the metaphors in these incredibly vague texts. That's why they're called Grimoires. Do you even Lit bro? I actually missed out on the loot cave, but I honestly feel like its taking the fun out of the game. Applying get rich quick schemes to games designed for farming and grinding is bad form, the developers clearly value determination and skill, stratagem and adaptability. Finding loopholes and wearing high level vanity pieces sends an inferiority vibe. But that's just my opinion. I interpret the description of the Nine as a few others have stated: a council of nine different entities/beings. Human refugees Deep Orbit war minds Whatever Species Xur is Those who sent the Copper chest The Awoken Ghosts free of the Travelers influence Guardians free of the Travelers influence The Vex Hive Witches These can be a single representative for each faction of the Nine council or as the constant use of plurals suggests a few elected officials. This adds another layer of intrigue to the Queen and her Constellation of Witches, the Awoken Prince and his Crows, the Vex and their Technology, Rasputin's programming, the Exo Strangers travelings, and above all The Travelers motives. If this interpretation is to be believed then you have to wonder; Why would all these different beings and entities come together from across space and time to specifically oppose the Traveler? Is the Traveler committing an act that is a threat to the entire cosmos? What is the Traveler making us do? I always find it suspect when a character is painted as being absolute good or absolute evil, I just don't think in such a black and white system. The Traveler is the only thing in Destiny that is described in this way, the absolute unquestionable savior, while everything else has more depth. The Fallen are nomads, the Hive are just following their religion, the Cabal are lost in space, the Vex are rebuilding their habitat and this "indescribable" "Darkness" is pulling all the strings? No The Human Refugees and the War Minds know what the Traveler truly is, and although they have different motives and different methods, the Nine came together to work towards eliminating the threat. This is what I infer from critically reading and Literarily analyzing the Grimoire cards.

  • Lol...I did not bother to read that short story....just because some cannot understand the grimoire does not make them mystical and oh so requiring decryption.... You should perhaps read mystery novels that might be more satisfying...

  • Its really your loss then, if you don't stop to consider the higher mysteries in not only Destiny but in all things then you are sorely missing out. Even the title of the game gives evidence to the sheer amount of time and effort those amazing people at Bungie put into the game. Their hearts and souls. I do read a lot books actually, not just mystery books. A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, and all that.

Lol...what you consider higher mysteries is what some easily read within the cards.... Some of us get the story very easily....some of us spend time speculating....its as simple as that....I often read novels and very rarely do I not see the twists, or story for what it will become (not talking the individuals experience)....these cards have a deep story (lore), but its pretty straight forward....
