"The Vex Mythoclast received a 34% damage debuff" with a 1.5 damage multiply to precision kills up from 1.25 damage multiplier.
In PVP VM went from 45 hit for a body shot down to just 23. Thats much more than 34%. and even with the percision damage buff the mythoclast does 21 less per hit.
Head shots from the vex mythoclast now do 35 Damage per precision shot down from 56.
Body shots with the mythoclast now do 23 Damage compared to 45 pre-nerf.
Compared to the suros regime which does 37 per precision Shot and 30 per body shot.
Looks like the suros Regime is again the best PVP weapon. Even though it has a slower fire rate it makes up for it with accuracy. The vex wins in most close range fights but is much harder to use in longer range battles with the reduced damage

EDIT: Info from: aXiom Tested it on a Lvl 2 Fallen: Suros - 128 Vex - 120 MIDA - 238

Vex is supposed to be close to mid. It destroys at close range. You died from hand cannon because that guy had aim. Hand cannons are risk and reward weapons.

First they buffed scout rifiles second vex is still a fusion rifile. Like most fusion or all dont go long range
-
Everytime I earn a good weapon like the suros, they give it away with xur, i get the mythoclast and they debuff the sh** out of it. I'm about done with this game. The best gun in the game they gave it away.

Edited by brenon45: 10/16/2014 11:47:20 AMDidnt seem that bad.... Its more on par for all gun usage now. Exotic = Look, and feel overpowered without being overpowered = Vex Mythoclast
-
It s still OK in pve but sucks in pvp
-
I think they also increased the guns recoil. Im using the same upgrades as before, but it seems to have a lot more recoil. Could just be me though. Anyone else feel that way?
-
As a Vex owner. It needed a Nerf ill admit. But not a -blam!-ing 34% nerf. I have seen people say well ''it still has'' 56 mag Long Range But you don't realize for each there is a con like: 56 mag - giving up long range which without it, its pretty shitty. Long Range - Sure its long range but have you seen the recoil in it, makes the rate of fire seem incompatible? It stands no chance with Suros Reguime. Its funny how many the same people I saw complain about the Vex needing a nerf are the ones also fighing in other posts about how there favorite weapon shouldn't get nerf. Example shotguns.

Edited by Mooserati: 10/15/2014 1:17:03 PMThere are tons of low impact guns in PvP that still wreck face. People need to stop fixating on base damage values and look at the "Time to Kill" (TTK) values instead. The Vex Mythoclast still has a high ammo capacity of 56, decent rate of fire, and virtually zero recoil. Here's ACTUAL GAMEPLAY footage of the Vex Mythoclast AFTER the patch. It's still a very good weapon in PvP even after the patch. It's pretty much just as good as all the other best-in-class primary guns. I also find it funny that all the people that were defending the gun before the patch were telling others to "get skill" and stop crying about it. Funny how they can't take their own advice after the patch. Which further proves that the gun was a huge crutch in PvP. As far as PvE goes, I actually agree that the weapon classes need some adjustments. But they should be kept separate between the two modes (PvE and PvP). Even after the buff most Legendary (and higher) Scout Rifles and Pulse Rifles continue to suck, and take way longer to kill enemies well below my Guardian's own level.

Why exactly have you included that video? All it shows is how powerful the mythoclast still is.
-
My vex is useless now. I spent all that time doing the raid on hard I feel cheated.
-
I knew something was different today when my suros was whooping the mythocast user's butt in the crucible :) good. The vex can still use another nerf, though.
-
Did the math it's A 48.9% nerf :( way more than 34%
-
In pvp that video makes it look rather balanced. Slightly less damage than the suros but faster fire rate. I didn't see any issues, pve might be a different story but I think where they put it is fine.

1.) As an owner of 2 Vex Mythoclasts, I will agree the gun was way to overpowered in the crucible to the point that entire teams would leave within 30 seconds once they realized they were facing a full team of Mythoclasts. Due to this, it needed a massive nerf. 2.) Despite needing a massive nerf, 34% was a bit overboard. Somewhere between 18-20% would have been more ideal in my opinion. 3.) The crucible is an instanced game. To nerf/buff all these guns game wide was a stupid move. The Vex Mythoclast, being the hardest weapon to get in game for beginners, should rightfully be one of the most powerful. Bungie could have simply made it so that upon entering a crucible match, certain factors would kick in such as nerfs and buffs to each gun to balance them, but when in campaign, strikes and raid, the gun has it's full power. We all know this is entirely possible on Bungie's end due to the Iron Banner in which it doesn't balance weapons (would say armour too, but it seems that a level 3 can withstand as much damage as a level 30).

With the magazine upgrade it goes from 21 up to 56 which is almost 3x times as much. It'a firerate shoots faster than the slow Suros which only deals 2 more damage in Crucible. So besides being more accurate and having better range, where is the benefit of the Suros? That 2 more damage to the head? It's still very strong but more balanced. They could slightly increase the damage again, I would be fine with that but a nerf was needed for sure.

That level 7 that killed you at 1:45 started shooting you way before you even saw him...yeah, you got outgunned because he outplayed you not because the mythoclast isn't good enough anymore. Maybe try scout rifles out, eventually people will figure out that they are better than ARs now.
-
Hey I think your vagina is dripping. Learn how to play and quit crying.
-
The beginning of your shit video was enough to make me laugh at you. "I just got killed by a pistol." THAT'S your complaint? You're mad that you got outgunned by a Hand Cannon? Boo -blam!-ity hoo, you got killed in Crucible. Cry a river, nublet. Stop bitching just because you're actually being killed and being put on even footing with everyone else. First of all, be happy that your precious weapon even does precision damage in the first place. The fact that it's a fusion rifle capable of precision hits, no charge time, and rapid fire is a blessing in and of itself. Second of all, the Hand Cannon is the hardest-hitting Primary weapon, to compensate for its small mag size and low RoF. Go -blam!-ing figure your Myth shouldn't hit nearly as hard as a Hand Cannon. Quit bitching and learn how to fight people on even ground in the Crucible. I use all kinds of weapons in Crucible. Shadow Price, Thorn, Shingen-E, Ice Breaker, Strange Suspect, Bad Juju, and I do fairly decent with every one of them. Sometimes I do amazing, other times people outgun or outskill me. It happens. That's all a part of the game. Like it or not, there is no such thing as an ultimate weapon in this game, just a bunch of guns and a bunch of people who may or may not have the skill to use them. So which one are you? Can you adapt and use other weapons based on skill, or are you just gonna curl up and cry just because one of your bitch weps got nerfed?
-
you know.........its a wonder how anyone who first used the mytho didn't immediately understand that the gun would be nerfed. I mean...you didn't really think you were gonna just run around with a weapon like that forever did you? The fuk are these kids on these days.

Edited by xBombshellsx: 10/15/2014 10:09:32 AMLOL...Got a good weapon nerfed because you PvPers cry like infants. Why do you die, because you run around like in COD expecting the same tired tactics to work. PvP in this game is a joke just like COD is a joke. Want to play some real PvP try playing in District matches in Dust 514 and watch their team play rip your sorry asses apart. I could care less about the weapon itself...but your "Nerf anything that I die too much to" mentality is weak and unimaginative. Instead of crying, figure out how to beat people with the weapon. Use team play and strategy. Implore tactics. I don't pvp in this game because pvp is such shit. Random and bland. PvPers in the game are the bottom of the barrel weak and lack any real skill with the Aim Bot level assist this game has. Stop the Nerf / Buff culture.
-
O no looks like you might actually have to use just a little skill and aim to win a gun fight I feel so bad that your silver spoon got melted. Scrub
-
The vex still looks powerful and seems to be able to outgun people in even situations. I thought it was stupid that the guy expected to win a 1v1 against a heavy machine gun.. Really... And he also expected to win against a hand cannon at a close range. Just cause people can't win in these situations anymore doesn't mean the vex is garbage now. With a good aim and right scenarios this gun seems to still be one the best pvp weapons in the game.
-
It's the same with my auto rifles.... How does a 2% damage drop result in my damage dropping from 40s to 20s?
