These were necessary changes and I completely disagree with your premise. It's not a bad pattern. 3 shotting with a Mythocast in PVP and PVE was never intended and the saturation because of the Atheon bugs, brought the glaring issue to light: The weapon is disgustingly OP. Let's not forget, the vast majority of those that have the Myhtocast only have it because they bugged the event. They didn't beat it as intended. Once that changes and those bugs are fixed, you'll see a dramatic change in individuals that have this weapon. So they nerfed general damage and buffed precision. If you use the vex to shoot "precisely" it's now only a 10% nerf. The auto-rifle hit, we all knew was coming. Glad to see the scout rifle buff. Overall, we all knew this was coming and it is what it is.

  • Let's try to learn a little math today. For argument sake let us say 100 is our base number to use. For example, the vex mythoclast was hitting for 100 as example (actual damage doesn't matter this is a math lesson, 100 is easiest to use for most examples) 100x1.25(or 125%) is 125 Pre patch crit is 125. 100x0.34 (or 34%) is 34. 34% reduction means subtraction 100-34=66 Vex now hits for 66 per round. Crits are now 1.5x instead of 1.25x damage 66x1.5=99 ( can also be read as crits now do 150% instead of 125%) Crits now do 99 damage In summary, using 100 as basis for example I've have shown without a doubt that a 34% base damage reduction with a boost to crit damage does NOT equal about an 8% to 10% damage reduction to overall damage output. Before patch base damage: 100 Crit damage: 125 After patch Base=66 Crit=99 Learn maths. They are more important that all of your collective nerd rages over this game, it's design, nerfs, buffs, content, ect. P.s. no dicks given about the vex being nerfed or not. I still play daily regardless over what you otr any other guardian had because I don't pay the game to give a shot about you. All I care about is my buddies and I passing something that we enjoy together.

  • I only see 3 cases of incorrect spelling out grammar, and those are smart phone corrections. So, we are not even, you still need math in your life.

  • No need to try harder, my point was made. I was countering a point in a debate over video game semantics. You could only quibble over a few spelling or grammar errors (let's not go into the fiasco of your own improper use of language on these boards), making it appear you have no argument against me. I.e. you lost, sir. Now, feel free to continue your childish attacks on spelling and grammar, and the spreading of inaccurate disinformation, as I fear it's really the only way you can get fulfillment out of life. In closing and farewell, I am truly sorry for you.

  • inaccurate disinformation Is a double negative. Grammar 101, learn some. Like I said, try harder.

  • Oh, that's cute, the grammar -godwinslaw!- was wrong about grammar. Inaccurate is not a negative, though in some cases it may be construed as one. Disinformation, also, is not a negative, as used in this context. Inaccurate could mean wrong as I used it to be. Wrong does not constitute a negative in our vernacular. Disinformation is potentially false information used with intent to mislead or deceive (aka propaganda), and also does not indicate a negative. However, seeing as English is a negative concord language(informally at least), the use of them both as a neutral or negative still forms a litote. It's a form of understatement deliberately used to provide directed emphasis. That is also one of the few proper ways to actually use a double negative if I had. So, once again, you have learned something and I say good day to you, sir.

  • Why destroy Pocket Infinity though? Some of us worked really hard for that weapon. I was more excited about that weapon than any others in my arsenal, and now I have no reason to use it at all. A 3 shot magazine, with no upgrade option? No thanks. Thanks for making the time and glimmer spent to acquire that gun an absolute waste.

LOL. Please, you're about to say PI wasn't OP? Really? I'd love to hear that argument...Especially considering I have one. It was a necessary fix, the gun was OP as hell...But, let's hear your rebuttle...Let's hear how Pocket Infinity was NOT OP...I'm all ears!

  • Pocket Infinity had several drawbacks to help balance it: -PI has one of the longest charge up times in the game for a fusion rifle. -PI has a huge amount of recoil without the stability perk. -PI dealt gradually reduced damage on subsequent shots, down to 60% of it's potential damage by the 4th shot. Now, was 8 shots excessive? Absolutely. My issue with the change is the name "Pocket Infinity" is now a misnomer. Personally, I would much rather see Bungie exclude exotics from PvP than take away the aspects that make an exotic weapon feel truly exotic. As someone who exclusively plays PvE, all these nerfs do is reduce my desire to play Destiny and raid to obtain watered down loot. If they really want to have thriving PvP and PvE communities, Bungie should take a page out of WoW's game design and offer differing loot options for both game modes.

You keep on using the word "intended" like it's supposed to mean something. If that's the case, you should break everything in your house you used beyond its intention, e.g., if you put soda in a coffee cup, go break that shit right now. If you don't you're a hypocrite.

  • I agree that Mythocast was OP. But Bungie is overreacting again imo. There's no need to nerf ALL auto rifles. It affects the PVEers too, which is part of the point in the original post.

  • Disagree. I've had a Suros since week 2. Well before it was on Xur and even then, it was definitely OP. Now that everyone has it, it's still OP. Overall the 2% change is little and the 25% loss in precision was again, necessary. Do I feel the stability is a little heavy-handed? Sure but, 2/3 of that nerf was actually needed. The only gun I've really actually wanted since week 1 is a Monte Carlo and even with the nerf, when I get that baby, I'm going to drop some lead.
