I'll agree with you there. While I completely agree that PVP needs to be balanced to make it more fair for people (and fun), I fail to see how reducing something on PVP need effect PVE gamers who don't really play Crucible?! Why do we have to lose out because of people whining about how a gun is overpowered in a completely separate form of the game, why do these have to be linked? Surely it's in the engine of the game to be able to change how a gun damages another guardian but leave the damage to PVE be??

  • The One thing that made the Raid Hard Mode worth doing Bungie? Really? I have an established clan throughout COD and Battlefield 4, there are 42 of us. And evryone is tired of the same thing over and over with little reward. The Vex was earned, and if you seen a player with it strapped to their back it made a statement of hard work payed off. Now its just another below average weapon in your game Bungie. And if thats what the raid has to offer below average weapons and gear, we are leaving just as fast as we got here. Very disappointing, I thought Destiny was going to be a true breakthrough. And about the dlc, do you really think your going to make it till November, December, or even January to release new content? Its time to be realistic here. I along with thousands of others lost interest and faith in your game yesterday. Same old thing everytime you play, nerfs, same strikes, nothing worth doing the raid anymore, cryptarch sells whites and greens to a level 29-30, not enough varieties of shaders "still the same four from day 1 for purchase", no customization for characters after the initial creation, less engram drops, and only being able to equip one piece of unique armor? Really? We are saving the universe from evil monsters but you can only equip one piece of unique armor? Seriously? Will our characters explode or something by doing so? The game is the exact opposite of what Bungie pitched to all of us period. Even the video previews from pre release showed finished content that was turned into dlc. I am in no shape or form a publisher of games. But, the writing is on the wall. You do not have enough time left before these other games start hitting the shelves to make some big changes. And if it don't start taking some advice from little old me or the thousands of others soon your probably going to be in headlines as the company known for the biggest dissapoitment in video game history. I say this truly out of love. And I hope to love the idea behind Destiny and love to play it just like we all did in its first 6 hours of birth. All you need to do is give us that reason again. And we will defend your name, stand by your product, and forgive the miss-understandings. Bungie is formed by real people, people that are good at what they do. But to be the best at what you do, it must be earned. And you cannot achieve greatness like this. It is almost like destiny was meant to break sales records with all talk and no show at this point. And logic says that if this was accomplished, Activision could then put the money into COD making COD the new sales record holder. But, that is just hypothetical. If I was one of you at Bungie I would take a look around, open yours ears, team up with eachother and do what you were meant to do. Make Badass Video Games.

  • I think they had every right complain, but as you said it should not effect PvEer's. The one weird thing is they were able balance PvE from the start by setting damage limiters. Yet the PvP is all over the place with more powerful guns actually feeling and being more powerful and the variety of gun specials actually mattering and effecting the game much more. It seams they flipped the two game balances around. Every problem the PvEer's faced they tinkered with it until they found a way around it. Obviously it is different with guns, but exploring different builds and actually playing smarter would make the VM easier to deal with as well instead Bungie just gave in and made the easiest possible fix by nerfing the guns.

  • The problem is that PvP is never balanced, all that nerfing guns does is create a vacuum that is quickly filled by the next most powerful gun. They nerf VM/ARs/Shotguns this week and the squeaky wheels are happy for a couple days until suddenly they start start thinking Vision of Confluence, Hand Cannons, and fusion rifles are all over powered and we repeat the process over again next week. The problem is that bad players always whine about wanting balance with out realizing that even if the game was perfectly balanced (which could really come from only having one weapon or every weapon getting one shot kills) it still comes down to skill which will always be unbalanced. There will always be better players who are winning, no balancing will make a bad player better. With that said every time a weapon is nerfed it's damage scaling should be increased in PvE; this is the only solution I can think of that keeps PvE players from being hurt by PvP nerfs.

call me midly confused but I thought crucible was based on eveness, meaning if u were carrying a exotic weapon and have your armour maxed it didnt matter because every one was based equally? so if this is the case why are people screaming nerf?

  • Because less skilled players get killed by exotic gear so they think it is overpowered and unbalanced since they don't have it. Notice that no one wines about Shingen-E, Silvered Hushwind, Two For The Road, Hannibal-E, etc... Even though rare weapons with high stats that don't compensate for having legendary/exotic perks seem to kill people the most in the Crucible. No one complains about what they have, only what they don't.

  • I can agree with that last point.... no one complains about what they have only what they dont... I have 6 exotic and yes I have the seuros and can be beat down by a level 17 carrying a rare... doesnt bother me, just means I missed or shot crappy, do I cry nerf their gun ...nope I suck it up and find a way to do better..the whiners should do the same
