I think a lot of people are not Used to mmo balancing and basically have them cry over every little nerf/buff. The game is still young and it's only normal that a lot of balancing is going to happen. Stuff Will get nerfed and other things Will get buffed, people need to accept that and move on. They gotta see the bigger picture and not hold on to their overpowered-game of playing.

  • Most MMo I have played separated pve gear and pvp gear. By balancing gear to pvp standards you are dramatically weakening the gear in pve. The only way to offset that is to either weaken the enemies in pve or make it that pve gear can not be used in pvp. For example vex mythoclast is gained from the raid, it is slightly above average for pve but when used in pvp it takes 3-4 bullets to kill. Now after the nerf it will take 5-6 bullets to kill but in pve that can jump to 100-1000 extra bullets to take out a strike boss. That is a lot seeing how it already has a low ammo count.

True, and i think that's why they made the crucible "flat-lined" to make it fair for everyone. The problem with seperating PVE-PVP gear is the system they use. PVP gear is bought from NPC's. If they introduce counter-weapons for weapons you can find in PVE the whole community will cry and say that it's unfair because you can just buy them etc etc. Same for the armor, you can only reach lvl 30 by doing PVE. No other MMO that i've played had a system like that in place. PVe-PVP supplied you with different gear for example: PVP gear: was loaded with Hitpoins/armor etc PVE gear: Loaded with stats bennificial to their class and less focused on HP So people had different sets to play with, one for PVP and one for PVE. In destiny everyone is forced to use the same armor set or you won't reach the lvl cap. The Vex nerf might sound "harsh" but it needs to be compared to different weapons. How much more shots does it need compared to an exotic Auto riffle/fusion rifle etc? does it still outperform them across the board (from range/close quarter etc etc) or does it only outperform them in certain situations? If it's the latter i feel it's fine, no gun should outperform all other options in all situations. If the nerf caused the gun to be out-performed all across the board then i would agree that they went overboard. But we don't know yet and that needs extensive testing which i hope Bungie did. This community doesnt test a thing tho, no1 provides video's with dmg analyzes etc. It's all "OMG BUNGIE SUCKS THE GUN IS USELESS NOW I GET KILLED BY LVL 1 DREGGS HERP DERP I QUIT"

  • Changing gear or weapons in a flash on a mmo on pc is one thing, changing every few seconds in destiny isn't possible, at least not in hard raid. If they want us to use different guns for how far enemies are they are limiting any challenge going further any future raid can hold. I'd rather see vex mytho not be used in pvp than see that happen.
