It's not just the forums - it's everywhere. The media - and marketing in particular - drive this agenda of everything is A vs B, no grey areas, no acknowledging both sides yet being comfortable with your views and not butthurt about someone else's. It's pretty tiresome.

  • True dat - especially when it comes to games. The media/marketing thing is mostly about being lazy and trying to box people into neat demographics - and teenagers are one of the most lucrative. Foster a sense of entitlement there and selling becomes like shooting fish in a barrel - which is bad enough, but then that entitlement spills over into intangible desires like progress in a game: Look how many of the whiny threads on here have 'unfair' rng drops as a root cause. Of course drops aren't fair - they're random. All you can do is boost your odds.
