1. I think we'll eventually see this. Bungie stated that their primary goal with this intitial release was to "get the basics (core game play) right". Especially since this game was a big risk and a big step for them. I agree with you...they got it right. So with the expansions and sequels they can afford to get more creative. 2. No. Because: A) Wars aren't fought in "open worlds". They are fought in specific locations for specific objectives. Your Guardian is a soldier in that war, and B.) You have to fill up these things with interesting thigns to do. Expect to (eventually) see more locations on each planet...and more planets open up (Destiny 2). But the action will always, imo, be focused around specific locations on those worlds. 3. Expect to see this as well. I understand Bungie's hesitance to allow communication in the public areas. Especially given FPS players track records with such capabilities But they are such a part of MMO gameplay, I just don't see them being able to hold the line on this one. They are going to have to offere something. 4. Again expect to see this later in the game with more powerful enemies. I think they just aren't going to offer it this early in the game, because they didn't want to see people racing around the game never getting off their sparrow and spamming everything with vehicle weapon fire. 5. Don't expect to see this. Especially where weapons and armor are concerned. The naming (and histories) of the specific armor and weapons we carry play a specific role in the story Bungie is telling. Crafting would cripple that. 6. Trust me, matchmaking would make your experience even worse. The "quit rate" for lvl 24 strikes got so bad, that I basically stopped doing them. Got tired of belign left by myself on strikes because randoms would quit after a couple wipes. 7. Because the end-game content puts a BIG emphasis on the elemental damage (unlike the story missions and lower-level strikes) and exotic/legendary weapons give a huge boost towards getting through this stuff. I believe Bungie wanst you to amass an ARSENAL of these weapons and multiple sets of armor. So that you then can CHOOSE which gear is best suited for whatever you are about to take on. Rather than trying to make one loadout serve every situation. 8. That's what the raids and nightfall strikes are for. Which will give your Titan all it can handle and then some. 9. Because if they tried to put all that information in cutscenes, people would be here complaining about how tedious they are and how they interupt the flow of the game. Bungie is trying to tell a very complicated story here...and is in somethign of a no-win situiaton as a result. I believe the Grimoire si the best solution to that quandry. 10. Have you seen the bonuses avaliable to you on your Grimoire cards?? All in all, a lot of good ideas. Most of which I believe we'll see---in some form or another----at some later date.
