The exotics all have the same stats when maxed. They all have the same perks too. This is not borderlands. Guns in this game arent mix n match from different manufacturers. I got my ice breaker from the nightfall and it has exactly the same stats as the one sold by xur. Furthermore everyone agrees that beating the raid is also earning your loot. Earning the coins to buy a gun from xur is fine as well. Since theres only set loot for certain events (raid, exotic bounties) you can't call rng earning a weapon. You "earned" your surros from a tiger strike? I "earned" mine on a patrol mission from a dreg.

Well I got my Ice Breaker from Atheon and it seems to me like all exotics of the same name are duplicates. But Legendaries can have some variety to them. My Lord High Fixer can have explosive rounds and the stats are far better than The Lord High Fixer that the Crucible Quartermaster sells. Same with my Cryptic Dweller that Dead Orbit sells, and my Final Boss that shoots arc damage when the one the vender sells shoots fire damage. I'm just saying that there's a little more variety to the guns and getting the exact one you want with the perfect stats and perks for you is going to take quite awhile.

Yup thats true legendary guns have a little more variety to them but still have the same max attack as exotic so it's a preference and there arent any better versions.
