Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're using an example where you can kill a certain boss in Borderlands 2 as many times as you want in any given period of time.
Atheon on the other hand can be killed a maximum 6 times a week. I'm struggling to see your point.

My apologies. In my post I didn't calculate for someone as committed as yourself.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you beat Atheon 6 times in one week you can do it on hard, and if you do it on hard, you get the rewards for normal as well, so you're doing twice the work on three characters? And even doing all this you still can't get loot? Looks like you'll have to try again next week. And the week after that. And the week after that. That's the point of farming. But I'm sure Bungie didn't want to let everyone keep farming the boss multiple times in under an hour and have everyone beat the raid and be done with it after two weeks.

I didn't say this was what I do, or that I was struggling for loot. Just that your comparison probably isn't the best. They are different systems, one allows endless attempts the other does not. No offence intended.

And none taken. Although you can't beat the boss endless times as fast as you want, the similarities between the two are far more than most people realize. I've got weapon that the vendors sell that I didn't buy. They have different stats and perks so in my mind, vendors just give you 'starter Legendaries' that you use until you find the real ones with the perks you want.
