I'll tell you why it isn't helping. Because the majority of this "community" are idiots. Here you have a moment where a Community Manager is asking for feedback and the majority of the responses are nothing but the same childish complaints, empty threats and frivolous rumors. You have the chance to sound off and what does the "community" do? Act like a bunch of f"king kids. Oh hey, internet...what a shocker!
I think you completely misread the context of Deej's statement. He meant for everyone to stay on target as in focus on real, legitimate feedback, which is there, but unfortunately hidden within the thickets of typical "community" retardation. How do we as gamers convince people this medium isn't "just for kids" when the majority of them ACT like kids?

Destiny isn't even rated M. The game was basically made to target younger gamers what do you expect.

What you say is true, but a lot of people who say childish things and create empty threats just feel frustrated. They really enjoy the game and want to see it develop, and it does feel as though we are not being heard. This then creates anger and even more frustration resulting in a bad looking community.

The "stay on target" comment seems to epitomize Bungie's communication about Destiny as a whole: sounds cool but extremely vague and does not answer or address any of the original issues that are raised. It seems like there is plenty of communication but little is really being [i]communicated. [/i]

Bungie said around the week when the raid first came out that they would fix the Atheon ending bug where it does not take you to orbit. They however fixed the loot cave in such a short amount of time. This lets me believe that bungie can simply change a few values around like respawn time, damage, etc pretty easily. They announced they would fix a few guns, but have yet to do so. So why is that? Is it because they don't know how to fix the guns? We've given feed back as such that auto rifles should simply have a decrease in stability so their range is not that far. Or making scout rifles and hand cannons, the two guns with high impact stat, cause more effective flinching. Buffing thorn simply by allowing any additional burn effects to only refresh the timer of the current burning effect.

They haven't yet I believe bc they want to get it right. They need to test the new builds they make. Of course I would of rather them of tested this game before the release but o well now

The "real, legitimate feedback" is not addressed while deej feeds trolls. The fact that a post that has been in the top 3 for days is unaddressed, but "iron banner is gay" gets a bungie response should bother you.

This. This right here was the moment I lost any possible respect for DeeJ. Even if he is doing it on purpose to feed the trolls ironically, he actually has a job to do and from what I see around me this community isn't being managed in the least.

You honestly think that A) This is a community and B) it can be managed? LOL Bungie.net is by far the single worst "community" surrounding a game I've ever been a part of, and I doubt that it was any different when it was filled with chest thumping Halo dudebros. DeeJ's role is the middle man between the players and the developers, relaying feedback from one to another on the goings-on in and around the game, and sufficed to say that this "community" has given him very little to work with.

Seriously, this community blows Dick. I GameStop rented it and decided to keep it but I just came here and these forums are making me second guess it. What if bungie listens to all these whining pve children and then pvp is ruined? They all say pve keeps people around but halo has always had a thriving lasting multiplayer community. I have just as much interest in versus as pve and I don't want to see pvp disappear

Dont compare Halo and Destiny , Halo had for instance plenty gameplay modes (that you could change at will , so an infinity) , balanced weapons , Forge (since Halo 3) which meant an infinity of maps, true ranking (I'm speaking about Halo 2 and 3 here not Reach of course), etc etc And well Destiny has , what it has , I mean how could you forget/exclude basic stuff like private matches? It's a set back of at least a DECADE in gaming. Destiny PvP WILL die , it doesn't have enough content , simple as that , it misses the BASICS of multiplayer. Funny how Bungie was one of the pionner of multiplayer on console and now steps back from years of evolution.
