ummm the sack of doorknobs is mafia style justice...i cant believe people are missing this reference
cayde 6 beat him with a sack of doorknobs...it has nothing to do with the chests working

the deal with that is Cayde-6 was given a legendary engram by a guardian and cayde went over to the cryptarch and got a blue out of it. Needless to say stuff happens and Cayde is awesome.

Uh...and [b]why[/b] did he beat him with the sack? I think you are the one missing something. he beat him because he was not paying out with Rares in Rare Engrams and his Legendary payouts were just as bad.

Uh no...if you read the report it states that people are suspicious of his alibi that he has not left the Tower since time beagn because they saw him talking to Cayde-6 about a heavy sack. The statement has nothing to do with outrage about sacks of doorknobs being used to beat the Cryptarch into paying out, merely it is being used as suggestive that the Cryptarch is not forthright in all of his statements.
