Iron Banner Suggestions

After playing several matches of the Iron Banner, I've come to the conclusion that my gear does not actually matter. I tested this theory by taking my Invective (the exotic shotgun) against a level 8's green shotgun. His won out every time no matter what I did; pre-fire, auto-fire, timing my shots carefully. Either this player is a magician or the algorithms in place for this playlist are broken. So, Bungie, a few suggestions to help make Iron Banner worth playing (and I hope other folks in the community offer up some suggestions as well so the experience gets better for us all): 1. Don't make Iron Banner a team game-type unless there's team chat. It's absolutely frustrating that I cannot warn team-mates about a group of enemies and they just run to a control point like sheep to the slaughter. Nor can I try to help our team be a little more coordinated in taking control points and flanking the enemy. Enabling us to communicate with one another would make a night-and-day difference that would enhance the playing experience (and, quite frankly, is a common feature in FPS-style games such as Call of Duty, Borderlands and, dare I mention, the once beloved Halo). 2. "Test Your Strength" sounds a lot like "Test Your Might" so why can't I pull my helmet off and breathe fire, annihilating my opponent? I'm kidding but I think Control is a horrible game-type for something that is advertised as testing our gear and strength. Wouldn't it make more sense to be housed in a Rumble playlist? Something where the skill of the player is being tested rather than their frustration and patience? 3. If our gear matters then make it actually matter. It baffles me that some low level player's green shotgun can best my Invective, which, might I add, is halfway to being maxed out. Sure, it'd make it an uneven playing field for the lower levels but isn't that what you, Bungie, said Iron Banner would be? I wish you had told me that the low levels would have the advantage because I'd go make a new character and level up my rep that way. Just a few thoughts from someone who really enjoys the game (probably a little too much) and I hope other players offer some suggestions as well to help improve the game. But, then again, this is the internet so I'm sure there will be the occasional, "u sux n00b herher l33t", so be it. I just hope someone does not say "l33t" because that just makes everyone feel awkward. Your move, Bungie. You up to the challenge of making a better multiplayer experience?
