I gets no love on these forums but here I go! I'm pretty sure they are going to bump up the level cap past 30 with the upcoming dlc. I'm hoping to level 50. But the problem would be how to address making your current gear obsolete, especially when it comes to exotics. I think to address this problem we should be able to take certain gear, like exotic and raid gear to a NPC who will appraise it. This would unlock a new set of level trees. Of course these trees would gives us access to possibilities for more light and new perks. I think to unlock or appraise each gear will cost a certain amount of motes of light. I use motes of light because that is one thing that is guaranteed. Motes doesn't rely on RNG and can be acquired through grinding. This is a rough idea. But I think it's a solid one.
